it's funny the brand tries to be all indiebut check out the myspace they go as far as putting a picture of every celebrity who wears their clothing.
Samuel L. Jackson, UFC fighters, actors, blah blah blah. Seems like they are trying a bit hard. That's so underground
Some of the style are nice, but they take it too far. Anyone remember pogs from 12 years ago? Their shirts look like pog designs. They overstate the style too much.
Its cool that SSM and judah were wearing it. That is the chic style that is going around right now.
I started wearing 'Affliction' before it even hit department stores.
Were I was working at that time in 2005 they had some trial clothes shirts, sweaters, etc. etc.
I got to keep a copuple of things from there..
Then in 2006 they began to distribute it on 'Metropark' and other stores....
I checked it out and bought some shirts, sweaters & accessories.
I rocked the clothes a couple of times and it was all good BUT to be honest I payed all that money for those things and the work wasn't good. A couple of the shirts the threadings/sowing came off like after the 3rd wear. My hootie sweater from the zipper area at the bottom was also sowing off...
I was pissed cause I had spent all that money on the clothes.... I've never bought anything again from that brand and had to get my sutff fixed with a tailor.
Since then I've seem Tito Ortiz rock it, then Lidell then some boxers are now rocking it. I saw Mayorga rocking A'ffliction' the designs are cool IMO. But the quality sucks... Big time....
Other brands that I think are gonna come on the scene.
'Ed Hardy' (tho it's already big I think it's gonna get bigger)
'Monarchy'
'1921'
'BC Ethic'
Other brands I like to rock:
True Religion
FCUK
Subscript
Ben Sherman
Guess
Puma
Aldo
I was referring to those tight ass shirts that dont fit properly with the tight necks and weird designs like Cotto/DannyG was talking about. Trust me hispanic/latino(whatever) emo kids exist. Where do you live I might consider moving there?Originally Posted by BHB

The term white boy sounds nerdy to you?Originally Posted by BHB
I said the art is more white boy IMO
If you look at the Pecker Woods for example, they have tats of skulls and wings and stuff like that.
Or take the Hells Angels for example:
See what I mean?
Now take Mexican tats or Chicano tats for example. You can clearly see the difference between white boy art and Mexican art.
See there? These are more up my alley because of who I am,..Nationality etc.
Like I said before, I would not wear the affliction shirts because they just look more white boish and don't fit me as a person. It would be kind of like if I ran around talking as though I were black. Know what I mean? It just would not fit me or be me. I am Chicano and we have our own thing.
Im a "white boy " and it just seems like a way to describe somebody if you ask me, not really offensive. Honky never caught on either , I think the word honky is hillariuos.
I dont have any skull shirts though LOL.
