Not a fair fight, Hatton cant handle the 147 lb division and INo should stay at 140 and rule it

I don't understand how Hatton is all of a sudden overrated etc. just because he lost to the best fighter in the world. True Mayweather put a beating on him, but there aren't many, if any, fighters from 140-154 that Mayweather wouldn't beat convincingly; and as soon as he beat them I'm sure they would become overrated as well .
That being said, as long as making the weight doesn't kill him, ODH would KO Hatton. He's just too big.

why not stay at 147 and grow in to the division you know like other fighters do and stop whining about size?

Oscar makes 147 and he's beaten by nearly anybody as he is so weakened.

However we all know the golden boy is clever.

I feel he may sign the fight at 147. Hype the fight bigger than the 5th may. Psyche Hatoon up and maybe insult him. Just make Hattoon want to kill him. Then on the day of the weigh in come in at 150 or so.

Hatton's pride and the promiises he makes to the fans make him carry on with the fight...

I think Hatton should stick to 140 Unify the division as he is a huge draw now.

Just stick to 140 and cement a legacy there. No point in Hatton doing anything at 147..the Division is just to strong.

Agreed Tins. Thats what i've been asking oif him.

By all means take a fight with Juan Diaz if he feels the need to hav a superfight, but 147 is not OK for Ricky

Hatton is no way near as affective at 147lbs he should drop back down to 140lbs.He stepped up a weight to fight the best p4p fighter in the world and showed he is a warrior with a good heart and made floyd fight which alot of opponents have'nt.There is no shame in that and for him to be suddenly overrated is harsh.

Fighting De La Hoya is a bad step for Hatton the golden boy will be to big for Hatton and will stop him early.Hatton takes alot of shots to get his own off his shots will have no affect on the bigger ODLH where Hatton will be affected by the shots of ODLH.

Oscar is annoying with his attempt to find a Mayorga esque prop up to a big fight career see off....Hatton should play no part in it.

I didn't abandon Ricky Hatton, I am simply realistic....FLOYD MAYWEATHER JR was bigger and outmuscling Ricky Hatton....and you want me to WANT to see a Hatton-De la Hoya fight?!?!?!

It's not that I don't like Hatton (never considered myself a fan but I do watch his fights when they are on) I just think it's a horrible style matchup for Ricky....Oscar is too big and too strong and Ricky doesn't deserve a big money megafight since he lost vs Floyd.

Ricky should fight Witter OR Zab Judah those would be good fights

If they fight it'll be at a catch weight of 150. De La Hoya would come in around 158 or 160 and would just murder Hatton.

I would have to agree VD (hey, that rhymes ). That being said, I am so sick and tired of Oscar being in the fight game, making all these millions of dollars, while fighting "safe" fights and not risking himself or producing exciting, interesting fights. I swear I won't pay for another pay per view he headlines unless its against Cotto, because in that case, I will be paying to watch Cotto.

I'll pay to watch De La Hoya massacre Hatton.
