It was rude and in poor poor taste but who really cares we've treated our own anthem really bad ourselves at times.

Just got back to U.K this morning from Vegas. Was well embarassed about this didn't know where to look when the booing was going on. Was sat next a Yank who I'd been talking to and the guy was sound, he genuinely was upset. All the Americans I spoke to with the exception of about 2% (Roger, Zab and Floyds sister) wanted Rick to win it was shit and disrepectful and it's the same old same old with Brits abroard, a few pissed up cunts who don't know how to behave ruin for every one else.

Mayweather coming out to "Born In The USA" was fine, but they should have cut the song off before it got to the part where it speaks of being sent to a foriegn land and the "yellow man."
English Football fans... Well, primarily football fans, are generally VERY disrespectfull. Its shamefull.

When that song come on and i saw one particular guy with the stars n stripes i thought to myself ''no, you got your green card last week my freind, you was not born in the US''

Also on one fight someone sang the Mexican National Anthem and of course you had that singer go "Go Chavez!" after it. Then came a boy to sing the American National Anthem and when he was done he goes "!VIVA CHAVEZ!" hahahaha! Priceless .

yes they did i was there i heard it! being british im always embarrased by it - but what are you gonna do?
I was at the last two Calzaghe fights in the Millenium Stadium and the crowd was NOT booing the anthem. They shouted abuse at Kessler during his ring walk but didn't boo the anthem - that is a fact.

The National Anthem should be respected, no one booed 'God Save The Queen'......but I also think having Tom Jones sing it was partially the cause no one booed....he's Tom F****** Jones.....Tyrese, I didn't even know he sang....he did a damned good job in spite of the boos.

The people that booed have no respect and I swear to ALMIGHTY GOD if I ever catch anyone booing The National Anthem or burning an American flag they are going to feel the wrath of Lyle........and that goes far beyond politically charged rants!

I won't ever burn any other nation's flags or boo their national anthem either so I only expect the same courtesy

I feel the same bro. You must remember these were a handful of jerks and no real reflection on the lot . Most of them are cool and welcome back anytime.

Actually they cant come back soon enough for me. I like the story Larry told about the planes running out of beer on the way over. LOL

The Hatton fans also booed the anthem at the Hatton-Castillo fight. This has absolutely nothing to do with Mayweather.
Mayweather is American so it has everything to do with it, so they boo anything associated with it but you guys don't have pantomime.

and to be fair that line you have about 'rockets and bombs in the air' won't win you many friends

I was at the fight and it was wrong for the fans to boo the american anthem. It was probably the same silly people that booed the anthem of Castillos in his last fight.
