Wow! The fight's on. It's a gutsy choice for both men and their managers. It's a dangerous fight for Calzaghe because of Green's talent level and a risky fight for Green because of his lack of experience against world class fighters such as Calzaghe. You have to think that Green should have taken 1 or 2 more fights against easier opposition than Calzaghe, but maybe his management feels that he's ready, or if he loses that it will be a valuable learning experience.

You have to go with Calzaghe's experience to pull him through in this fight. 1 mistake like the one Green made in his last fight and he will not be able to recover. If he's careful he may go the distance and just receive a boxing lesson on piling up points with a lot of punches. Calzaghe's older but he still has superior hand speed and quickness. He will have to really watch for Green's left hook, but people were saying that about Jeff Lacy and it never was a factor.

That is the one in Japan, nice Stadium, but it only holds about 40,000 people; the Millennium Stadium is a lot better, of course even the Millennium Stadium will not be able to hold a flame to Wembley.... when if it is finished!!!
have you seen what it can do, it becomes to seperate venues and it has all these different states it can be in

Yeah I have seen it, it is very impressive but just too small; 40,000 seats is not big enough for Football matches etc, especially involving England

Azteca, it had 135,000+ for Chavez/Haugen in 93. It also held Footballs World Cup Final in 1970 and 1986.

But the biggest has to be the Maracana in Rio de Janeiro, it had 199,854 paying customers for Brazil/Uruguay match that was the finale of the 1950 World Cup.

Why would Green's people do this to him so soon? And why Joe do this to his fans?

I don't begrudge Joe for taking this fight.

The other joke-@$$ "champs" of the division have apparently priced themselves out.

I'd have liked to see Tarver, but he's tied up.

He's gonna make Green look slow, but do y'all really think Clinton Woods would do much better? Or Peter f#cking-American-idol Manfredo?

In a perfect world I could make a better matchup, but this isn't THAT bad.
