The fight is going to SUCK....Either Roy dominates Tito and for the next 2 weeks after all that will be posted on the boards is how Roy beat a guy who is really a WW or Jr Middle and how it was already proven Tito should not be fighting up higher then that by the way he was beat by Hopkins...and it was really not Tito at his best because of the lay off...Blah Blah Blah
If Tito wins it will be about how Roy is way past his best and in his Prime he would have dominated Tito and Tito will lose to Hopkins again if they meet...OR it will be a bunch of post on how Tito wants Calzaghe.....OR 10,000 threads on "Tito is BACK"......
With that out of my system
Unless Trinidad has added some serious muscle we don't know about IMO he is in trouble....He will try to be the aggressor and Roy will counter off the ropes.....and if Trinidad can not make Jones respect his power early I call it for Jones by Dec.....Not sure if Roy has the KO goods any more

Whilst i agree 90& Tito has been reported to have lifted a lot since "retiring"Originally Posted by Daxx Kahn

It's a sure thing bet wise isn't it. Win for Jones could cost a lot to make a few dollars though. LOL
LOL. "His power." Tito will be completely feather-fisted at this weight. He's an old, fat welterweight. Period. It'll be like James Toney's "power" at HW.Originally Posted by Daxx Kahn

Trinidada will either be rusty as a barge brought up from the bottom of the ocean or...the lay off has him rejuvinated and ready to go at full force

HAHAHA you guys need to check out the BS site. There is a statment by the Trinidads making a big fuss on how Tito is already at 173 and he can make weight easy. Like if there was any doubt he would be able to make weight.
They are claiming he is in shape like he has not been sinse 99 or 2000. I'm a big fan of Tito and I'll be rooting for him come fight night. But can you believe all that s***.
Its hard for me to predict this one because Tito is a unknown at this point due to the layoff. I really would love to see him beat RJJ, but at this point I'd take RJJ just on the size/power factor.
Don't forget speed and skill. There is not a single category in which Tito is even competitive. This fight is a joke.Originally Posted by No Contest

Tito is defenatelly competitive in Power, Chin, Stamina, Experience, punch accuracy and work rate.
The lay off will kill him in the end though.
I'll take these in turn:Originally Posted by The Rookie Fan
1. Please explain to me how he's competitive in power. He's a welterweight. Roy has KO'd plenty at light heavy.
2. Given this fact, chin is completely irrelevant -- though it probably favors Roy anyway (Tito's ability to withstand welterweight shots says nothing about his ability to absorb punishment from a light heavyweight).
3. Roy's stamina is fine. Tito has put on 20 pounds of fat and sat on his ass for the past 3 years.
4. Roy has more experience. Objective fact.
5. Disagree that Tito will be competitive in accuracy when he's fighting someone twice as fast as he is.
6. Tito's work rate goes into the toilet when he's getting outclassed (see, e.g., Winky Wright).
I would be very surprised if Tito won a single round of this fight. And I would have said the same thing when they were both in their primes. An ATG light heavyweight against a very good welterweight? How can there possibly be any question?
Too many variables for me to call, how will tito be at this weight, how will jones handle his power if tito brings it up with him, i'm not sure what to expect from either guy yet.

Doesn't work like that mate, you walk around at a heavier weight and then suddenly lose it for a fight then you get drained because your metabolism is still up where it was when you were heavier. he's been back at 175 for a while... I think he even weighed 174 last time out.Originally Posted by SEANIE
This is RJJ going for the biggest payday, he wont get too much props unless the fight turns out to be a great fight, then all the old/blownup talk goes out the window. Hes only really gonna get $$$ out of this , but for Tito, I think a win would be very impressive. It's pretty far fetched but think about the possiblities if Tito wins. That would be awesome and I would be the first to jump on the bandwagon.RJJ has been around and he hasnt done shit lately, considering the options, at least Tito would fight some big names.
Jones wins easily in a total mismatch of a fight and then calls out Hopkins. Bernard Hopkins grabs the chance to fight him to avoid fighting Calzaghe.
This fight is only happening because it's the biggest payday either guy can make at this point in their careers.
