    Aha! So my boy won!
From what ive read, im suprised Clottey didn't try and step it up at least once. Maybe he was puposefully casual, maybe he was mindfull of his stamina. Odd.

I don't think Clottey will destroy Cintron. He;s a pretty ordinary fighter imo. He couldn't KO a lightweight Coralles who wanted to go toe to toe so I don't think he'll KO Cintron.

Cintron isn't great but he does have a high workrate, Clottey will fight well for a few rounds against him and then just slow down and content himself with a points defeat.

As I've said before he's a front runner.

I just saw the fight now.
Good job by Clottey as almost everyone predicted he'd win by UD....

I hope he either get's Cintron or Williams.

Clottey is the kind of fighter that doesn't do any 1 thing great, but he is good all rounder and a solid fighter. Clottey's constant pressure combined with his solid chin will be hard for Cintron cope with, considering how suspect his heart is.

I don't think so i think Clottey will be all over Cintron like a rash. If Clottey has done his homework on Cintron he will realize how Cintron look disheartened against journeyman Feliciano with his pressure style, and how he quit against Margarito when it got too tough for him. I actually think Cintron could very well quit against Clottey.

Definitely one for a signature bet then. Clottey could well beat Cintron, Cintron isn't exactly the greatest welterweight in the world but he has come through hard scraps. In case we are forgetting he did WIN his fight with Feliciano although most regard it as a defeat whilst Clottey did LOSE to Margarito although most regard it as a victory.

Both fighters claimed hand injuries in those fights as well yet Cintron is now seen by most as a quitter whilst Clottey is seen as tough warrior whose hand injuries denied him a certain win a world title.

    Go figure

Alvarez has a good chin he took alot of shots and stayed up. Clottey pretty much shut him down with his defense, and with the early bodywork Alvarez's shots were losing steam. I do think Clottey coasted a bit, taking it easy on Alvarez the last few rounds.

Man,what the heck was that by Alvarez,?! I think I saw the wrong fight or something¬! Wasn't this a guy with a shot at a world title if he won? He could have let his hands go more anD I've seen some of his previous fights,he usually puts alot more on his punches. Fairly mundane fight. I don't know what it is but there is something I really don't like about Clottey. I don't know whether it's his laid back attitude or whatever,I can't put my finger on it.

I think he's tough as nails but I see alot of flaws in Clottey which I have mentioned on numerous occasions. I see Cotto breaking his body in half, his high held guard is superb for blocking head shots but Margarito wore him out with those arm punches he was throwing,Cotto would hurt him. Williams woul out hustle him like Tony did. A Cintron fight would sure be interesting. I don't think Kermit is a bum,he HAS shwon heart,in his fight with Teddy Reid so I give him a chance v Clottey, especially with his power.

Alvarez did what he could. Clottey's defense was damn hard to break thru and that straight right hand of his was killin Alvarez. I'm surprised that Alvarez made it thru the 8th and 9th rounds and went the distance. He looked to be outclassed and Clottey's expierence made a big differnce too.
"You knocked him down...now how bout you try knockin me down ?"
