The funny thing about that fight is Miranda was actually up on all three judges cards going into the 6th round. I was right there ringside and did not see it that way. At best I had Miranda down 2-3, but they all had it 3-2 Miranda.

He was the favourite and the judges ALWAYS favour the favourite IMO.

The Kelly Pavlik fight ?? no way on this earth was Miranda up in that fight, he got totally dominated. I only had him winning 1 round except for that it was all one way traffic. I don't like what your implying either, that Pavlik won because of Miranda's *weight problems*. If Miranda would of won you wouldn't be bringing that up at all so lets stop with the excuses. Pavlik was just the better man, to be honest i know your big fan of Miranda but i have never really thought much of him. And i don't see him beating any of the elite Super Middleweights either.

No doubt the weight problem/fever was a HUGE advantag for Kelly.
I believe Allan Green was not himself the night Miranda whipped his ass so I am very open minded.
Would have Kelly beaten Miranda that night regardless? Most of you think so, and that is a fair call. I dont know, but would love to find out by a rematch.

Sorry but i don't like petty excuses i thought you was better than that Pantera. Now Miranda had a fever ?? come off it he looked fine to me its just Pavlik was too strong and Miranda didn't know what to do fighting on the back foot, because he had never been in that situation before. If Miranda would of won you wouldn't be saying *Miranda had fever, weight problems* You just have to accept Miranda was beaten fair and square no excuses. One of my favorite fighters lost awhile ago aka Marco Antonio Barrera. And i didn't make any excuses and i gave Pacquiao his props and i moved on. Miranda does not deserve a rematch after getting beaten that badly, and plus do you really think Miranda would want a rematch ??

Plus i didn't hear you making all these excuses before the fight. When you was 100 percent convinced Miranda would destroy Pavlik.

CC I can't stand sick excuses. Obviously I'm a pretty big Ouma fan and I remember after he lost to Karmazin people saying he had the flu, what a load of bullshit, if he had the flu why was he smiling, laughing, jumping up and down on the way to the ring. He just got his ass beat, plain and simple. Miranda just got his ass beat, plain and simple. Like Pavlik doesn't have to cut weight, look at him, he's huge.

I don't like any excuses really, seems like every time somebody has a less than spectacular performance they've hurt their hand, are sick, etc. Not saying its not always just an excuse but a lot of them seem to be.

I was in Memphis the days before the fight and wasnt making any posts. What I say our facts. Miranda had a fever all day before the fight. He hardly even ate after the weigh in (usually he had a pretty healthy appetite).

Listen, you dont have to believe me, and even if you do, you may not think it had an affect on him.
I realize this is boxing and there are no excuses, you get your ass beat, well, it is what it is.

But down the road if Edison proves himseld at 168lbs and grabs a belt on the way, you bet your ass there will be a rematch and I have a strong feeling the results will be much different.

So think what you want. I can see your side. But I was there and saw what I saw, and I am not gonna 'lie' and tell you he was in good shape. I have been with Edison before many of his fights, and there is no doubt he was not himself the day and hours before the fight. Shit, just look as his walk to the ring and compare it to any other of his fights. He looked like he was walking to a funeral and had no excitement in him. Every other walk out he is taunting the crowd and has his hands raised high.....

I must of had 10 phone calls on my cell before the first bell rang with friends of mine watching the fight on TV asking what was wrong with him.....

Maybe Miranda just knew he was going to get his ass kicked. The fact that Miranda has never really even pushed for a rematch pretty much says it all. Miranda got knocked the fuck out fair and square.

It doesn't really matter now anyways, as like Pantera said, it is what it is. And Miranda lost the fight, and may have lost it anyways, sick or not. Why? Because he seriously underestimated Pavlik, and healthy or not, he would have been put off his game plan regardless after seeing that Pavlik is no joke. Even Pantera will admit Pavlik is no joke, and those 2 guys have as much heart as anyone in the game today.

So? Now we get to look forward to a future rematch, as I can't see how these 2 won't meet again. Miranda won't underestimate Pavlik, and Pav will probably be stronger at a higher weight, so we will be in for a classic fight. It'll be decided by one or the other not getting up fast enough I love both guys, and can't wait. If anything, that loss was good for Miranda, and taught him to never judge a book by its cover

Miranda will be a champ he will grab a ABC belt this is how i see him vesre the top guys at SMW

Kessler vs Miranda - Kessler wins by a huge point decsion or he stops Miranda

Bute vs Miranda - Boxes him to a very tough decsion and it is competive

Forch vs Miranda - Miranda knocks him out in the later rounds i think

Mundine vs Miranda - I favor Mundine in s very close fight he is a good boxer when focased

Bika vs Miranda - I do not think many will agree not sure but i think Bika can take Miranda power and come back and win a ud or late stoppage

Miranda is a good fighter but he is jumping up in weight in one of the strongest divsion so he is going to have a tough time.

Miranda is jumping up in weight, but he will still be one of the larger SMW fighters. There has been talks of him even fighting at Light Heavyweight if the right fight comes about (I have heard he could replace Lacy to fight Tarver if Lacy wont take the fight). I think 168bs is a good weight for him now. He will not be overpowered at this weight by anyone. Not having to kill himself to make weight should help him keep his power or even be stronger.

We will learn a decent amount about his strength against Banks. If it goes the distance I will be disappointed and agree he will have trouble at this weight. If he blows him out early I gotta believe his power will be tough for anyone to handle at this new weight class.

I can't argue with that. He'll put most fighters to sleep quick if they're not carefull. I thought he pooped Pavlik good with some big right hands. Pavlik showed some serious beard in that one.
