You can't say you're the best when you don't even hold a single title in the division.

WBC champ Witter haqs only ever been beaten once. By "Super" Zab Judah. When he had to lose 15 pounds in 2 weeks.

He also never beat Cotto at 140. He has to win the titles to be the best. Otherwise his claim to being the best is as good as mine.

Does manny Pac have a belt? is he the best in his devision?....thought so

Its not all about having a belt, its about the names you fight and how you do it.

Well thats Witters fault for losing that fight isnt it. He was so stupid enough to take a fight so early, so that has nothing to do with it. Even if he was fully prepared he would have got beaten by Zab Judah.

He wanted Cotto and it was going to happen, Cotto fights at 147, Hatton fights at 140. End of it really.

But "Pacman" does have a belt.
WBC International super featherweight title same one he defended, WBC International super bantamweight title.

How can you possibly say "he would of been beaten". You don't know that.

Yes Cotto fights at 147 now and so did Hatton in his last fight. Cotto has beaten more big names so that if he went down to light welter he would be the best. Same goes for Mayweather.

You're living in the past, obviously you agree with Hopkins being one of the best p4p. I however think he is old news beaten twice by not even a top 10 pound for pound.

You're only as good as you're last fight and the titles you hold. Hatton has none.

If you think Pacmans belt is the reason he is the best, you have something seriously wrong. That belt means absouslty JACK SHIT ! Hes the best because hes beaten the best and proved his is number one. Like Ricky Hatton did, he moved up to try and be the best in the world and lost to the best in the world. It doesnt mean that makes him any worser of a fighter than he was last time.

Hatton is the best in the devision, Junior Witter isnt. If they got in the ring Hatton would knock him out.

I think Cotto-Hatton would be an amazing fight. And I actually want Hatton to stay at 147 to fight him but I understand why he cant.

Yep moved up in weight to fight the best in the world and lost, complete fraud

Why when a boxer loses a fight these days its seen as the end of the world?

Ray Robinson, Ali, Loius, Duran, Hagler, Hearns, Tyson, Pep...what do they all have in common? They all lost. Hatton is ne of the finest light-welters of all time in my opinion and to call him a fraud for losing to mayweather is well wide of the mark.

What's all this about Ricky not-having a belt. At the moment he holds the IBO and to my knowledge holds the Ring belt at 140lbs. He's also won the IBF belt twice and the WBA belt at 140lbs. None of the past belts were taken off him in the ring. He's only given them up to move up in weight or to make a better fight than his mandatory defence dictated. He will fight for belts again at 140.

And you have now been exposed as a hater take your 12th

I hate people who try and kick someone when there down, Hatton has nothing to be ashamed of he lost to the best fighter in the world, top 10 most skilled fighter in the history of boxing, top 5 defensive fighter of all time. Maybe you should try getting in the ring and we will see how exposed you look

Agreed... But Malignaggi and Witter sure pose a huge threat form a stylistic standpoint

Disagree whole heartedly... You cant call a fighter who was grossly inactive due to not making weight, moving up and getting a gift desicion from a fighter with only 16 pro fights in Herman Njougo.

Castillo was shot to pieces and wasnt even close to being a former shell of himself

See my 1st reply in reference to Witter and Malignaggi who both deserve a shot at Hatton, especially Paulie if he wins next week

At 140 i'd pick Hatton over Cotto. Cotto was killing himself at 140 and has only really come good at 147. He was vulnberable at LWW.

[/quote] Sorry Tam but i totally agree with JT on this one, Castillo only had 1 fight at Jr Welterweight before the Hatton fight, and didn't look impressive by any means. Castillo was at his best at Lightweight.
