Bruno may have had a lazy jab but also knocked people out with it.

I just can't agree with the whole Bruno thing.I think any of these newer champs would beat Bruno. The fight I think would be great is Wlad vs Lennox just think about it a minute.Has Lewis ever faced anyone with the combination of fast hands and very good punching power along with a whole arsenal of punches, also boxing skills. The only question would be if Klitschko's whiskers would hold up.S**T I'd pay to see it.

Believe me, Frank Bruno would waste Sultan Ibragimov, Ruslan Chageav, and it'd be a toss up with Wlad and a good fight with Oleg, who hits hard himself, but is chinny, but also has tons of heart.

....I think Chagaev is a tougher fighter than everyone thinks and he is IMO the 2nd best heavyweight right now

Here's the thing. We all talk about Wlad being great and how he could be a champ or top contender in any era. This may be true in theory and on paper, but his resume doesn't come close to Lennox Lewis's resume. Not close. He doesn't fight enough and he's fought too many meaningless tuneups/warmups/glorified sparring sessions. If you go down there list of opponents you can see that most of Wlad's quality wins (other than Chris Byrd) were guys Lennox had alread handled, and the guys Wlad beat that Lennox didn't fight don't measure up the the guys Lennox beat. It's not just the the guys he's beaten don't have the name recognition. They aren't as good and there aren't as many. Lennox fought between 2-4 quality fighters per year for a 10 year period (1993-2003). During this period, he fought exactly three guys who you would consider true tomato cans, and in the process beat Prime Tua, Evander Holyfield, Tony Tucker (who had only lost to Tyson at that point, at took Tyson the distance), and Prime Okinwande, Frank Bruno, and Razor Ruddock. He avenged both his losses. The version of Michael Grant that Lennox destroyed would have eaten Ray Austin for lunch.

I'm actually a big fan of Wlad and hope succedes in cleaning up the heavyweight mess. If Wlad fights twice year for the next 3 years, goes undefeated from here out, and unifies the division, he'll have the right to be mentioned in the same sentence as Lewis, Tyson, and Holmes. I think he has the talent to do that, and I hope he does it, because it would be great for boxing to have one clearly recognized champion, particularly one you can argue could be champ in any era.

Lewis never fought Sam Peter and (this is the most important part) at the time Wladimir fought Sam Peter everyone thought Wlad was done as a fighter and Sam Peter was THE GUY and honestly Wladimir seems to have totally ruined him.

If Wlad fights: Chagaev, Povetkin, Thompson, Chambers, and even rematched Corrie Sanders he would have a good solid argument to say his record is just as good as Lennox Lewis'.

Wladimir doesn't have the deep division that Lewis got to fight in...but it's not too far off. Lewis had fighters to fight that were NAME RECOGNITION fighters...Holyfield, Tyson, Golota, Tua, etc....also Wladimir is only 31 and he has already won 49 fights....44 by KO!!!

I gues we disagree about Sam Peter. I think he is better now than he was before the loss, but can we both agree Lennox would have boxed Sam Peter's ears off pretty easily?

Tua at that time was much more than just a name recognition fighter, and there are a whole bunch of names I listed that were prime contenders and/or belt holders on or above the level of current champs and Wlads past oponents. I named them in my first post. Lennox has some past prime names, but he fought everyone who was out there and he rarely fought crappy filler. Wlad has beaten lots of crappy filler as he's been working his way to the improved version of Wlad that we see today.

But yes, I agree, if Wlad goes out and runs the table against Chaegev, Ibragamov, Povetkin, and very importantly, Tony Thompson (who nobody wants to fight), we can rate him right up there with Lewis.

Totally ruined him? lol. Is that why he outboxed James Toney in their second fight? I mean Peter doesn't train right, over looks, or whatever, looks bad against McCline and suddenly Wladimir ruined him? Gimme a break.

Yeah, you're right. But just look at Wladimir, you really believe that is all natural?
