Why can't some people make a point without dissing others?

First, please exclude me from the group of Cotto fans that is saying Floyd is ducking him. I've never claimed that, nor do I believe it. I do think Floyd would rather build up to it, by either "retiring" first, or by letting Cotto win another huge fight first. I'm sure Floyd's self-confidence and ego will drive him to accept a Cotto challenge.

But since when does that translate into all the crap that Cotto haters still like to spew? What's all this "robotic" garbage still doing bouncing around? Can you give Cotto even a LITTLE credit for adjusting his style against Mosley and outjabbing the jabber? Can you admit that Cotto looked faster and boxed better than he had in some of his more recent fights? And why is Mosley now all of a sudden an old washed up has-been? Can you give Cotto credit instead of dissing a gallant Mosley, who looked better than some people thought he would?

And why does Cotto always need that "one more big fight"? How many more "one more big fights" does Cotto need to deserve a crack at Floyd? Geez... it's like the horizon. Always within sight, but always out of reach.

Point is, you can be a fan of one fighter while giving the others their just due.

TitoFan werent you and ricanchamp, cotto-can-man and bgordon & myself with a couple of others the ones who would defend Cotto from all the ANTI-Cotto threads and comments here in 2005 when Rockymarshmellow, Hindsight and Magnum along with others were bashing Cotto left and right.

We HARDCORE/Original Cotto fans have come a looooooong way since then holding down the fore front and defending him.

I respect PBF as a fighter NEVER been a fan, maybe one day when I'm older I will but not now. For now I respect his ability and what he can do in the ring. I came on here days after the Hatton fight and made a thread about how much he leaped in my ATG lists I give him his credit.
I will hack at his big mouth and the stupidity that comes out of it I just can't myself on that....

Anyway.... Respect to both and if the fight comes off may the best man win.

For the record people still call Cotto; Robotic, 1 dimensional, chinny etc. etc. etc.

I don't think it will ever change.
