.....the Irish, Northern, Eastern, Western, and Southern Europeans, Asians, and Hispanics had no problems working their way up through "the system" and they had to live in ghettos and they were persecuted too.

I wish I could explain to you the sickening nature in which the black leaders of my home town are basically extorting money from the taxpayers to pay for a Civil Rights Museum....I'm 100% for the museum it's something the entire community could be proud of but 5 years and millions of dollars later it's still not close to being ready to be opened........and they only had to rennovate a building to make this museum, it's not like they had to do anything too dramatic.....the museum project has now earned the nickname "The Black Hole"......and the moral of the story is Give us the money or you're racist, and don't hold us accountable for anything because if you do then you're racist

And oh our city council wanted to clean up the police department and they fired our Cheif of Police because he was "spying on black officers".....that sounds bad but the truth is those black officers were helping out well known drug dealers.....it's a total shame I guess if we're going to have corrupt policemen then they have to be black ones.

I know all this sounds racist but that's the whole point it really happened but I end up sounding like a racist for calling them out on it....I have nothing against the entire black community just certain individuals who are using their race as a shield for their corruption or entitlement

You mean like demanding to maintain the flag of a defeated nation and calling anyone who isnt willing to pony up for museums about it "denying us our heritage"?

I dont use drugs,but I do pay attention,I couldnt find crack within 50 miles of here,but I could damn easily find a couple of good old boys cookin up some meth

I was making light of how Bernard Hopkins explained away the racism in his remark but I suppose you will just look past that and try to be the bleeding heart on this thread as well, even when no one was meant to be hurt by my post and I was just trying to explain how silly Hopkins' explanation for his remark was.

And I don't agree with southern stereotypes at all. I don't believe that all southerners are how they're commonly portrayed. I'm sure that not all southerners regularly wear pointy hoods and that not all rural southerners have radical ideas about animal husbandry. I'm even perfectly prepared to accept that there are some southern families whose family trees fork every bit as much as those of their northern compatriots. I'm not saying all southerners are like that. I'm just not into making those sorts of stereotypical judgements.

....and that leads to promoting other things by use of racism if you use Hopkins' rational. He said it was to draw attention to the fight therefore creating more intrest in the fight itself and I guess it's true IF Bernard wants tons of white people to watch the fight to see him get his ass whipped, by a "white boy"......it's not a positive way to draw intrest in the fight and it's not a wise way to draw intrest in the fight because if he does beat Calzaghe, there is Kessler and Pavlik and people if they are mad enough will want to see them have their chances to whip his ass.

Plain and simple Hopkins' comment was uncalled for and if there is to be racial equality then consequences and repercussions need to follow ANY racist statement and not just the ones made by white people
