I love the press conference quote from Campbell: "I'm gonna take you down to hell." Lol thats good stuff, almost as good as Tyson wanting to eat Lennox's children...lol

Even if he doesn't win, I think he'll put on a good performance and offset Diaz' rythym. He definetly hits harder, he's slicker, and goes to the body very well. If he punches in between Diaz' combos and goes to the body in the early rounds he could make it very interesting later on. It's just that he's been so inconsistent over his career. If this is an off-night for Campbell, even remotely, I think he'll be completely overwhelmed and just never get going. I do think he's capable of beating Juan Diaz though. He has much more power, and like I say, if he manages to be slick and get his digs in to the body early, he can absolutely make Diaz fight his fight... Which is a fight Juan can't win.
I don't really think Campbell's that slick, I mean he's not a bad boxer but he's no defensive expert and actually for a guy that throws so many punches Diaz doesn't get hit that much.

But I agree with most of it. He does need to try to punch between Diaz's combos, which is easier said then done cause Juan's clearly faster than Nate but he still needs to try, and also he really needs to go the body.

Agreed. I have never thought too highly of Diaz, but he just keeps winning, so I would not bet against him.

I think I'm the only one backing Campbell!

I just feel he has the power to get Diaz' attention

Congrats to Nate Campbell!!! So much for Juan Diaz telling Pacquiao to stop fighting old legends (if you consider 2 to 4 years senior OLD), he just got beat up by somebody 12 years older. I was waiting to hear that older lady beside Juan Diaz to start calling out PACQUIAO we want PACQUIAO with a very high pitch voice.

I'm very disapointed with JD's performance tonight. Hats off for Campbell. He showed this kid some lessons. Sure, Nate exhibited some dirty tactics but imo he still won convincingly. There was no intentional headbutt in that fight, and the point deduction was prematurely called by the ref.

I still admire JD for what he is. He acknowledges his mistakes during the interview and didn't blame anyone but himself.

Just like I told you...It was the exposure of Juan Diaz...He is a product of great management...Low risk high reward...at least thats what he thought.

man, i knew diaz will lose after that first round. yeah, he could dish out the pressure but he doesnt like that pressure cooker himself. it was just a matter of time, now his fighting style was exposed. i dont think he could have done any better coz he has one style and thats it. Good job Nate!

    Great call. Rep from me.

Diaz does leave himself open alot but has a decent chin so this could be going the distance.
I don't mean to steal your glory Galaxy but I had Nate SD in the prediction comp

i didn't pick Nate but i was surprised that everybody thought this was clearly gonna be a win for Diaz. i really had no clue who to pick for this fight. in my last post i was leaning toward Diaz. Its looks like i should have stayed with my gut and picked campbell.
