Nothings Sweeter Than Sugar
Hatton coming off a ko loss is probably smart to take and easy fight back home to get back on track.

Hatton will stop him, but it should be a o.k. fight to watch they both like to fight inside. I just wish Hatton would stop the holding and hitting inside which he seem to look to do first when the fight goes inside. If he could just keep both hands busy inside he would be alot better to watch. If Lazcano takes Hatton the distance it makes Hatton look bad IMO Juan isn't causing any panic anymore.
It is PPV in the UK, not sure about in the US. The fight will be broadcast at UK time as well. Also the tickets will be cheap(ish) to reward the loyal fans and encourage families to come. In all honesty it has to be if he wants to get close to filling the 55000 seater stadium gainst Lazcano.
I'm going, booked my hotel this afternoon when the fight was announced. I had no intention with the opposition in mind but promised my little cousin I'd take him as he's just started boxing and loves Hatton.
I've had an email this afternoon saying I can buy tickets tomorrow, a day ahead of general sale as I've been to see Hatton in recent fights.

WOW really.... good luck with that Ricky because i can only see the poor loyal fans that will be dipping into thier pockets for this mismatch.
smells of the Naz comback against Calvo to me... they are in for a shock with the numbers on this one thats for sure.... but maybe it will force them to produce a better matchup next time round.
The Hatton Vs Lazcano bout will start at 10pm U.K time.About bloodly time.Im sick of all of these late morning broadcast show!!!!!![]()
Hatton will get his confidence back then fight Torres or Paulie get a belt then maybe Witter.
PPV......WHAT!!!
not paying for this
Lazcano was on a roll a few years back, he looked superb stopping Stevie Johnston! He fought Castillo for the vacant Ring 135 pound championship & took a beating & I believe hasn't been the same since. It's a good comeback fight for Hatton but I was hoping for Torres!
The Best There Is, The Best There Was, The Best There Ever Will Be
When viewed in context Lazcano is a good opponent for Hatton.
Specualation on this fight has been made since way back in 2005 when the proposed Lazcano bout was cancelled due to a Lazcano hand injury. Lazcano was replaced by Maussa and the rest is history.
However, Juan to thi sday can prove beneficial to Hatton. If the general public lost faith in him after the mayweather fight, they will be presented with a seemingly glorious victory this time in return.
Furthermore, Lazcano is quite popular himself and will draw some numbers which will allow Hatton some exposure in the states.
PPV in the UK is probably due to the desire to compenstae for low ticket prices and the lack of revenue that will be generated.

I agree Lazcano is a good come back opponent for Hatton if this is what he and his team feels he needs, but why he is trying to fill a 55,000 seater stadium for a tune up fight, its not at 2 in the morning because the Americans are not interested,
The low price tickets are to ensure a sell out, 55,000 cheap tickets is still a hell of a lot of money, Hatton is now working with Golden Boy there is no danger of making no moneyPPV in the UK is probably due to the desire to compenstae for low ticket prices and the lack of revenue that will be generated.
I would have preferred to see the tune up bout at the MEN (20,000 seats on Setanta) with a good under-card and sold as what it is the first rung on the comeback ladder, building up to another-fight in America and a British super-fight at the City of Manchester Stadium with Witter if he is still winning, that would be truly giving his fans and the stadium the fight they want and deserve
I hope they don't try to over sell Lazcano and build this to more than it is, an confidence boost for Hatton
