I disagree strongly with this, David Diaz is a marginal champion in a currently unimpressive weight class, how would beating him be enough to move Pac to the P4P #1 spot? IMO beating Marquez, who is/was top 5 P4P on almost everyones list, is much more impressive that beating Diaz, even if Diaz fights at a higher weight. I could understand Pac being anywhere from about 2-4 on the P4P list, maybe as low as 5 if you believe Marquez should've won the fight but there is no way he surpassed PBF by beating Diaz.
Going into this fight, I had Pacquiao ranked #2 PFP, and Marquez #3. I see no reason to move either of them after last night. If Calzaghe puts together a dominant win over Hopkins, then I might consider moving him to #3.
It's weird for me, I think Marquez edged the fight, and I thought it was one of the best fights of the last few years.........
But I dunno, I thought both of them were disappointing in some ways. I think they both looked vulnurable and honestly believe Juan Guzman would outbox both of them.
They probably stay where they are p4p but I think Calzaghe is a better and more dominant fighter than either.
Yeah it was a great display between Pacquio Vs Marquez as expected.I personally think it was a closer and more thrilling contest from their first outing. It was very close after the 12th round to judge who won but it was fair to say that the K.O Marquez sustained in the 3rd was always going to be a mountain to climb throughout the rounds to change the outcome of the dicision.Nevertheless Marquez came back into the game with some great shots specially that left hook to the body...That was a great shot!
Wth Marquez sustaining a horrible cut above his eye,do you think there'll be a 3rd bout between Marquez Vs Pacquio??I'd like to think so,What do you's think out there?![]()
Floyd did not get to the top spot after his first fight with Castillo. Needless to say, Pac doesn't deserve that spot now either.
Pacs record speaks for itself. He's p4p #1 right now. You can argue that floyd is #1 all u want but looking great against mediocre to good competition doesn't compare with looking great against great competition.
You guys are a bunch of bias fans that are willing to keep floyd at #1 no matter how little he does or how much the REAL fighters do. I still don't know how good floyd is and neither do you because he doesn't take any risky fights.
Beating a version of DLH that had 1 fight in like 3 or 4 years and knocking out Hatton who continually came in with his hands down asking to get KTFO hardly qualifies as p4p worthy.
It's simple math, Pac is deserving of the p4p crown.

manny p4p no 1? not even close, the guys drops places imo (not for the fact JMM got totaly fucked screwed) but what i saw of manny in that matach was not even close to being named the best in the wolrd.
The one and only reason pac was remotely competetive in that fight was down to JMM having a shit chin.
Marquez is a great boxer, he has great skills, but he isn't the best "boxer" in the world. When he was boxing pac-man looked completely overrated to what people have said about him, his power on a shit chin got him into a close fight. no fucking way did pac win that, find me a real neutral fan who thought pac won that and i will eat my hat. he lost, a close fight, but lost.
pac drops to the lower end of a p4p top 10 list imo.
