I went with Vazquez-Marquez, JMM-MP and Casamayor-Kats were good but not quite as good IMO.

Vazquez Marquez is the far and away winner for me, I think it's the one truly great fight for all ages that we've had so far. It's been a good year but nothing quite reaches that level for me.
Casa - Katsidis last night was good, as was Pac - JMM but maybe it's because I didn't see it it live, but Pacquiao - Marquez II wasn't all it was cracked up to be imo. I saw a fight with a lot of downtime and not a whole lot of clean landed punches. Good drama but I personally think both fighters have fights that rank much better then that. It was a good fight, but I wouldn't put it up there in Marquez - Vazquez' class. That was absolutely off the charts.
Im going with Casamayor vs Katsidis i know some people may think im crazy, but i think it was even more dramatic than Marquez vs Vasquez 3, with Katsidis being floored twice in the 1st round, then Katsidis starts to take over by about round 3, then knocks Casamayor out of the ring in the 6th round, then we have more brilliant two way action. Then by round 10 Casamayor is behind on points and Katsidis goes in to finish off Casamayor then BOOM amazing left hand from Casamayor and Katsidis goes down hard he gets up but badly shaken then Casamayor finishes him off in impressive fashion.
Mark my words it will be Izzy vs. Rafa III....

I definitely think fight-wise Vasquez vs Marquez III was a better fight to watch than Pacquiao vs Marquez II.
I just feel that Pacquiao vs Marquez II was a much bigger event. It was yet another Mexico vs Philippines fight, their first fight was a draw, there was a proper build-up with the HBO-made countdown show, the world has been waiting for them to fight again for 4 years, #2 vs #3 pound-for-pound (i think that's a big deal), a fight between two future Hall-of-Famers, and the fight was well promoted. Plus, Pay-Per-View fights lately lack drama, let alone back and forth action. Both men took and let go of the momentum and were in certain points susceptible to being knocked out.
Vasquez vs Marquez are a perfect match for each other it was obvious they would go to war for the third time. But Pacquiao vs Marquez could've easily been another non-exciting/disappointing Pay-Per-View fight.
Can't believe this is so close to be honest, I think it's far and away Vazquez and I think that Pac - JMM, while it was a big fight and not a disappointment, was a fairly average fight. I was never once wowed by the action, there were only a few notable back and forth exchanges throughout the entire fight and there wasn't 1 round that sticks out in the memory. It was an average fight with major implications. I don't think it's FOTY by any means. Especially when you have a fight of the decade canidate in Vazquez - Marquez III.
Vasquez vs Marquez 3 told a great story in boxing and was a fight of the year in its own right because of it.
And Casamayor vs Katsidis also told a great story in boxing and is a fight of the year in its own right.
It depends on what story you want, the back and forth warrior slugfest or the old lion young lion one
I thought the Pacquaio fight excellent both fighters looked like they were going to go at times.
I voted for Katsidis Casamayor.
Honestly I think if the same Kats Casa fight had involved Vazquez and Marquez people would have thought it was insane!
If for example Marquez had put Vazquez down twice in the first, got punched clean out of the ring in the 6th and was looking to be on his way to losing the fight before pulling out a an awesome left hook to floor Vazquez in the 10th people would have been all over it.
It was the better fight imo but Vazquez Marquez had a better heritage and tradition being the legacy defining fight.
But honestly we are being spoiled I'd say this March has been the best month I can ever recall for great boxing fights, simply superb!
I went with Israel vs Rafael.
Although it's amazing the amount of potential winners at this early point

Two people voted for Mitchell Johanneson which I thought was a brilliant fight, but they voted anonymously so I don't know who they were
Come on who voted for this fight? It wasn't my favourite fight of the year but it may well end up being the British fight of the year, a terrific scrap, I want to see some discussion of that fight in here too![]()
I'm pretty sure Ono voted for that fight Bil.
Mitchell Johannson was a cracker of a fight.
And to think it could have gone under the radar if Hay and Macca hadn't come along at the right time!
Mitchell has had performances like that before, a real gritty, honest fighter.
As for world level, potentially he could be, but he will need to develop.
I'm not sure he can develop in England though.

Carl put on a great show after Mitchells initial hot three rounds. He had Mitchell hurt and he was looking for a way to finish before Mitchells second wind arrived and he returned to strategy.
For me the stoppage was more indicative of Carls resignation rather than anything else. He was knocked down sure and hurt, but I FEEL HE QUIT.
aS THE COVERAGE TEAM NOTED, HE'S BEEN AROUND, IN A LOT OF WARS AND THEY TAKE THEIR TOLL, MENATLLY.
FucKin caps lock !!!!
