Well, I just did something really stupid, and almost got to take an unwanted vacation to the emergency room.

I was just cleaning cages and did a big no-no.I had just finished picking up cobra crap in Blondie's cage. I left the door open as I was going to grab the water bottle to mist the cage down and bump up the humidity, as she is going into shed. When I started to grab the bottle I noticed my male cape cobra had dumped a load as well. So being stupid and having Bilbo on my mind, I got down to clean the crap out of his cage and lay down some more cypress mulch. Only thing is, while I was rearranging the plants and mulch, I neglected to remember Blondie's door was still open I was messing around for about 10 minutes in the capes' cage, and to my utter shock, when I raised up to finish the other cage, Blondie was lying on her log watching me She was about 20 inches away. Only thing that saved me from taking a hit in the head or face is that she is opaque right now, where her eyes are clouded up before she sheds, so she isn't wanting to go explore, as her sight is very poor right now. Had she been in a normal phase, she probably would have crawled right on top of my head or tagged me in the face, as she likes to come out and roam around. Very bad indeed; and this is the type thing that will get a venomous keeper a free trip to Shady Acres Cemetary This is a very unforgiving hobby to say the least; and I'm sure poor Bilbo would go into a depressive state and suffer anxiety attacks should something happen to me. Jeez Legion, they couldn't pay me enough to do the job you're doing. It's a weird feeling, gettin' saved and knowing the only thing that saved you is just sheer dumb luck.
