Kessler was/is a good fighter. But he ain't nowhere Hopkins level. Hopkins is great. Kessler is not.
If the 43 year old version of Hopkins was to fight Kessler, my money would be on Kessler.
Yeah but Kessler is shit now because VD picked him to knock Joe out

    COME ON JOEEEEEEEEE

This is something not many people understand. America is a place built on diversity and differences, when you come here people will not be singing in unison or in rhythm. Just as many Americans that are voting for Hopkins will be matched with people who are voting for Joe (Americans), unlike if the place of the fight was in total opposite (Britian) when 99% of the arena if voting for Joe. Hop has just as many haters here as he has fans (attitude), and althought he has the title of CO PROMOTER he has no advantage here.

You wait, Cortez will let Hopkins work as much as he wants on the inside. I can't see him shouting "No Bernard stop" everytime they clinch like he did with Rick.

Maybe Joe should just stick his head through the ropes and get lots of points deducted from Bernard as he throws a punch...........that would be my plan

This is going to be a tough fight for both fighters. But I predict a narrow points win for Hopkins...this fight will not be beautiful to watch!

Have you got money riding on Hopkins like mate?Im thinking Calzaghe will win by points.I think it'll be a good old slug in the later rounds from both boxers.I dont think there'll be a K.O happening during the bout though.

its all down to who turns up mate and who is fighing who... Co promoter is an issue for sure IMO

as for Britian rooting for Joe that would prob be down to the fact that not many Amricans would turn up to root for there fighter but i doubt Hopkins would get a bad reception... Kessler didnt and i dont think Lacy did... hell i remember Johhny Tapia coming to the UK to fight the tail end of his Career and never have i seen such a welcome on his entry fo any UK fighter

there are some good fans over in the UK mate that respect all boxers dont get them mixed up with the football thugs that have jumped on the Hatton Bandwagon

But hasnt boxing has always had a bit of a following with football lads/casuals in the UK?

I remember a huge brawl at the NEC arena between Man Us crew and Birmingham Zulus a while back. Who the boxing match was between escapes me though.

I was at the Haye/Enzo fight and Evander Holyfield got a great reception, Barrera too was very well received in the past.

Calzaghe has always stood out and is certainly a different breed to the other fighters in the stable. They are all vulnerable to a loss, Calzaghe is not to be compared to them.
