We have countdown to Shane v Cotto,Pav v Taylor,Hatton Floyd....Oscar v Forbes? What kind of joke is this? Countdown's should be saved for the bigger fights.A mockery of Countdown shows.

I agree bro. I'm not even interested to know anything about this fight.![]()
Ikariam
HBO is making a big deal cuz its the first time ODH has fought off PPV in like 7 years
oscar sxcks, forbes sxcks aswell but i hope forbes beat that fish net wearing gay slash fag.![]()
Ive no interest in this fight at all. I wont even watch it. I will protest in the only way I can...turn off the TV....![]()
Seems rediculous, but common you can't blame them for trying to milk as much out of De La Hoya's fishnet wearing tits as possible. They have a real underdog story to work on, plus some legit drama (Floyd making Roger stop training Forbes, ect).
I dunno, it's still Oscar. You say its not a big fight but I expect it will probably get the biggest viewing figures for any non PPV HBO fight ever so of course they should do a countdown show![]()
It's not such a bad thing, Oscar is boxing's biggest star and casual and even non boxing fans will tune in to watch him fight.
Personally I don't see how that is bad for boxing in any way, shape or form.
I don't see why people would grumble about HBO making a Countdown show for this to be honest. I'm going to download and watch the show today. I like Forbes and even though I don't think he has a cat in hells chance of winning I'm still pleased he's getting this massive opportunity.
You know I'm not an Oscar fan. But I am a boxing fan, and I'll grant you that anything that brings new fans to boxing is ok by me. Yes, Oscar fights bring casual and non boxing fans to watch. So I just hope to have a good, exciting and compelling match... so we can keep some of these casual and non boxing fans.
(Well... "compelling" may be a bit much to ask for. I'll just settle for good and exciting.)
Steve Forbes wife is a 10.
It was almost comical how they did like 4 minutes on Forbes and then the majority was spent talking about the Mayweather family feud. That alone tells you that HBO isn't too interested in you.
I could only make it through about 5 min. Once they didn't provide subtitles for Floyd Mayweather, Sr. I had to turn it off
