    Default Taxi Driver the Movie

hey guys shockingly ive never seen Taxi Driver so i finally rented via NetFlix and even more shockingly i didnt see how it was all that great?

I mean Deniro is the MAN period, but i dont even think his acting was even all that great in this movie, Raging Bull yes, God Father II yes, etc etc.

I was just waiting for this amazing moving performance of this once normal man who just flips out and becomes psycho but i never ended up seeing it?

i mean what he does in the end is obviously not the norm, and takes big balls, but i thought it was humane and he basically took out the shady bad guys/scum of the world.

i mean most people are lonely and fed up with society, shaving a mohawk especially today is like the norm in fashion LOL.

blowing people away yea yea illegal blah blah but he blew away a dude robbing a store, and a pimp, mafia guy all people that society can deal without.

    i dont know.

i just thought scorcese and deniro are def way better than this.

Very violent movie. A young Jodie Foster is in that movie.

He dies at the end. The scene of him picking her up is a hallucination. He was a 26 year old virgin.

call me crazy....I think Deniro was better in this Classic than In Raging Bull .His Character actually starts out OK,MArtin Scorcese never plays into "Travis Bickle" and His returning from Vietnam as A contributing factor to his Paranoia /Psychosis.This is an all time Classic and VERY dark.So Raw and Dreary but well acted by all involved. He was so apparently a crazy but was able to "keep it together" in big spots ecspecially picking up Cybil Sheppard .....until the "date" at the movies,Thats when you go WTF dude??Love it when hes driving around in the rain rehersing his mantra.." look you scum, you low lifes..no more will we put up with it..etc.etc"He was clearly on the edge and the climax ending was just crazy

Yeah, Taxi Driver and Raging Bull IMO are definately his two greatest performances.
