Judah, Toney, Lacy, Chico and Taylor could all beat De La Hoya.

I expect at least 10 coolclicks from Mr. Northside

No but seriously. I wouldn't pick Oscar to win against PBF and I haven't even thought about Hatton or Margarito. Since I really don't feel like typing it all out again on a fucked up keyboard (I swear it took me forever just to type this)

Now...I'll give Oscar his due and then some for his sharpness last night but it was Mayorga. It's a lot easier to hit someone who fights from the same angles and who punches wide then it is from someone as slick as Floyd. Again, not taking anything away from Oscar, but Floyd has undeniably faster hands then Oscar and it's not like he's feather-fisted. Floyd knows how to stand his ground and withstand flurries like that while getting off his own. I don't know, I would have to watch last night's fight again in a different environment but I don't think Mayorga can be considered a measuring stick for matching up Oscar and Floyd.
Umm...it kind of explains why I feel PBF would win. Basically, Oscar is going to get Floyd moving back. He's going to have to shorten up his punches and fight like the old DLH and put together some of those crazy 7-8 punch combos he used to land. The thing is, I don't think, actually, I KNOW Floyd's speed is greater then DLH's. DLH's advantage would be his power but landing clean punches is something he hasn't done in a long time, except against Ricardo Mayorga Prime for prime this would be a toss up imo, but Floyd is just to much for Oscar right now. When at their best, they are the same style of fighter, but Floyd is just the better fighter right now by a lot imo.

Only PBF could win by out-pointing Oscar, but not in his prime. Too bad, Oscar is 4 or 5 years too old, and slow.

Hatton- has more chance than most would think, he'd attack ODLH early on like Vargas did but would keep it up for 12 rounds, the question is how his chin and cuts would hold out because Oscar would definitly be hitting him

PBF- might be to quick 4 ODLH at the end of Oscar's carear, then again it would be intresting to see how his chin copes also, Oscar would land against him as well

Margarito- from what ive seen of him, i think he probably has the least chance out of the three but u never no his powers pretty impressive(ive only seen 3 of his fights)

Mosley, Zab, and Floyd have the best shots...not saying they would be sure fire winners but they would have good chances and at 154 Winky and Sturm would have good shots at beating him.

ODH did look VERY impressive vs Mayorga though (but so did Trinidad)

Main thing with Floyd is his chin. Can he protect it for 12 rounds and if he slips up could he get back up? Is it as good as Shane's because if it isn't then he might be in trouble. Sure thing is that Floyd won't be as easy to hit as Mayorga

True, but if Oscar hits Floyd flush then it's over, same for Judah

PBF I can see how he has a chance at beating ODH, but Hatton, come on, he'd get a nice nap on the ring floor

Lets not carried away here, it either goes two ways with boxing fans, either there the best thing since slice bread after a win ( Dela Hoya) or they were in against an over rated bum ( Calzaghe)

Anyway oscar beat Mayorga who lets be honest is done he was knocked round the ring 18 months earlier like a rag doll by Felix Trinadad he then won a snooze fest against a tomato can, Dela Hoya is clever he picked this guy Mayorga to get people talking he held a belt for starters, he is very well known he can sell fights with his mouth and he is nowhere near an elite fighter but still looks pretty good on your record.

The way i saw the fight was Dela Hoya was sharp and looked really good i was impressed, but when i watched it the second time, this time with my attention more to Mayorga rather than Dela Hoya, he looked like a novice and that was putting it nicely he came swinging and left his chin out to dry, also the fight didnt go long enough for me to see what Dela Hoya has left in the tank, for me it was a well picked opponent that got people talking again. But to say no one beats him at 147-154, im not to sure about that, id have Winky as a favourite to beat him at 154 and we know Winky would kill himself to make weight to fight Oscar, i think Floyd would give him nightmares his defense in my opinion would see him through with a Ud, Hatton well he is my boy but Oscar would be a firm favourite with his reach speed and power advantage, but again Hatton is not really a guy you want to stepping in with when you might be ring rusty and the stamina has question marks all over it, look what happened to KT. If Hatton survives the first 6 i then see it as quite an equal fight, with Ricky getting stronger in the final rounds. Oscar was calling Margorito out after the Mayorga fight and i think that fight would be the easiest out of the opponents i have mentioned, so maybe that could be his best path to cement his legacy.

But Northside and anyone else lets not get carried away he looked good against an aging fighter who has seen his best days and has been beaton soundly on more than one occasion in recent times. Lets see what he really has left against one of the above elite fighters.

Mosely possibly could, PBF, Judah, Hatton are all falling asleep. Margarito will get TKO'd. I think that because the first 3 dont have the power or strength to trouble DLH but Margarito does so ODLH will box with him instead and get a UD. Mosley could possibly beat him cos hes done it before.

Neither one of those names will be stationary like a statue in front of Oscar for 12 rounds. Oscar would do good just to hang em up & retire with that belt.
There ya go, doubtin' on de la Hoya again. Some folks never learn.

You're probably right, but I'd love to see you proven wrong.
Shat babe...I'm an Oscar fan through & through...but I aint a stupid Oscar fan.

    Anything's possible.

pernell whitaker almost beat delahoya and he's probably the weakest puncher of them all not to mention he was old...and you don't think PBF has enough power to slow down Oscar...please..

WHAT DO YOU THINK?
de la hoya will eat right hands and check left hooks all night long...

he can't beat slick boxers that's why he hired mayweather sr....even the old sweet pea gave him fits...mosely beat him twice...he can't beat them...

and besides why would come to this absurd conclusion that nobody can beat him 147-154 after beating up a non-boxer like mayorga..didn't shane beat him already at both weights? yep...and he moved down to 147 floyd would really kill him..besides i think he's going to fight margarito anyway...
INO, Oscar won the second fight
oscar clearly won mosley2 & the biggest thing about a fight between PBF & oscar is that of all the fighters at 147-154...oscar & floyd have a better chance of beating each other than any of the others at that weight do!!!
