It's the fact that Khan has been in the spotlight and on terrestrial TV from his very first fight, it appears he isn't making any progress when in fact he is. If he started out like any other boxer, the Hatton's and Calzaghe's included he would have been fighting on the undercards of other bouts and non televised events, building his record up. The fact we've had to watch him batter these no hopers is great for the likes of my mum to see, and praise him for being so gifted, but I also understand why people get annoyed by it, especially by claiming he's so good after destroying some bums.

Anyway I don't think he's being overly protected, but with all his ambition and talk it would be good to see him fight some serious contenders. Frank Warren is the match maker, and in Khan he see's a very nice retirement package to swindle out of him, so he won't risk Khan for a good while yet, since the "0" is such an important factor and all.

The only way we'll see Khan up against the very best anytime soon is if he ditches Warren in pursuit of his goals and ambitions.

When was it he wanted to be a world champion by to beat Naz's record? Hasn't he supassed that age now in which Naz won his title? I dunno, but if not he surely aint got long left to do it!

I woudnt class Gomez as feather fisted Imoa.

Its been said before the only reason Khan gets crusified is because his fights are televised. Look at hatton, JC etc they all foughts bums early on but they were not televised so didnt cause an uproar.

Khan has come along a lot faster than hatton or Joe. Ask yourself who was hatton fighting when he was 21 and the same can be applied to JC.

Further more he deserves a lot more credit that he gets. He is ambitious and is willing to do what it takes, hes already split with his trainer and is likely off to america to be trained and considering hes only 21 that is incredible.

Personaly i would like to see him step up in class maybe after the next 2-3 fights to european level.

Mate that is a really good point!! I mean look at MAB he fought over 40 times before stepping up to real world class and JCC ebout the same. If Khan had 25 fights quietly rather than on primetime he would not get so much stick. I think he is being brought along just at the right speed, he's only 21 FFS. Having said that I do see him getting KOed big style when he fights a puncher, coz his defence sucks
