Mind you i did manage to see herbie hides last outing live on their so i cant completely criticise.

Fiveus shows boxing like once a week when everyone is still at work, channel5 shows boxing on their but its usually at about 3-4 in the morning

nutstv has superfights on every night but all they ever show is nigel benn and chris eubank in their early days

Friday fight night isn't on every week! Eurosport should show the european scraps imo and sky should give us more boxing shows. UK boxing coverage is shite. I don't mind all the football as i'm a firm follower

boxing is a passion for me..but like most europeans football is a religion.

Im a season ticket holder at upton park home of my beloved WHUFC and even follow them all over the country at away games.

But i still struggle to comprehend how someone would rather sit through a 90minute game of footie every other day rather than throwing in the odd boxing contest.

Everybody loves boxing, the sport is impossible not to love because it throws up so many different emotions.

Yeah I do understand where your comming from. Would be nice to get more boxing on, instead of stuff like fishing, whats that about? (no disrespect to those who like fishing, but would you really watch a tv show about it?)

Maybe with Setanta becoming the new home of boxing they would make some boxing shows. I'm only aware of them showing actual live fights and re-runs. Maybe only live coverafe of sports is their game, but they could make a few programs, even talk shows to do with the sports they cover.

A well. How do you think the Euro's will go? I think Spain have a great chance, but I like the odds of Holland! Gonna route for the Russians myself though, purely for their hot woman (and maybe for kickin us up the backside).

Have read that Microsoft in partnership with Frank Warren are launching a boxing site that will broadcast fights Worldwide.

More info is on Frank Warrens site including the official launch press conference.

Surely Uncle Frank isn't delivering something the fans want?

I agree as well, I mean there are fights literally everyday of the week, and any offtimes have replays of older fights and shows that would help the casual fan keep up with all the alphabet nonsense, things like that.

No he's delivering what he wants - World Domination backed by the clout of Microsoft. I fear this could be the end of Boxing downloads as we know it - so I am grabbing them now while they are free.

Well to be honest, I watch a lot of boxing on TV.

I've got all the channels listed by killersheep. In total on a good week I can see up to 15 fights.

Take the Telefutura card they usually have about 5 fights on a good night.
Soo many fighters have come out from there and are continuing to rise. Fighters like Miguel Cotto, Steven Luevano, Jhonny Gonzalez, Ivan Calderon, Israel Vasquez, The Marquez Bros. I can go on and on. All these fighters were showcased in this program from their early days.

Today they've showcased prospects like Victor Ortiz, Tavorsi Cloud, Giovanni Segura, Chris Arreola to name a few.

Boxing in the uk is also extremely limited, its all about money if you ask me. Said TV channel can broadcast a UFC event for virtually nothing yet one PPV boxing replay will cost more money than its actually worth for the station.

Boxing is the one true worldwide sport - its played in all continents (dont quote me on antartica) by all religions, sizes etc.

In a way im actually kinda glad. If the UK ever got a round the clock boxing channel that showed up to date weekly worldwide boxing shows i think id give up my job, give up my social life and just spend my life infront of the box 24/7

In America it plays out like this

HBO/Showtime each show 1-2 fights a month and will sometimes replay the featured fighters previous fights IF they were on that channel before.
*Both channels require extra fees to get them

ESPN2 has Wednesday and Friday Night Fights usually missing one week a month for each for some other sporting event while the season is on that's about 6 fights a week.
*Basic cable, must have cable to get it

Versus. has the odd fight every once in a while once a month or so.
*not provided by all services partially covered by cable

Telefutura usually has fights on Friday's but not always it's on basic cable where I live and is an all spanish telecast.

Telemundo has a random fight on every now and then, it is also an all spanish telecast.

You get wednesday night fights in the US??

oh you guys are so lucky!!

No sport in the UK gets a 10th of the coverage football gets.

Friday fight night is the only guaranteed live boxing we get each week, If theirs a big fight stateside on a saturday we`ll get that as well but thats usually reserved only for the likes of cotto, mayweather, klitschko, pacquiao, ODLH

apart from that its espnclassics, nutstv, fightchannel etc for classic fights which usually consist of either nigel benn or chris eubank.

god bless the likes of ICB and el gamo for the work they do upping the fights for us!!

Here, here! It can be a right pain living in the uk. At least Setanta are making an effort and although not worldwide fights, some of the Uk fights on Sky on Friday nights are well matched and exciting.

    Long live megaupload!! lol
