By this logic then Hatton shouldn't be champ at 140.

Not disagreeing with you, I like your logic.
Don't quite understand. Hatton lost at 147
True, on reflection I would just leave 140 lbs vacant.

Maybe just remove the division altogether.

    200+: Wladimir Klitschko
    200: David Haye
    175: Joe Calzaghe
168: Joe Calzaghe (seeing how he hasn't decided if he's gonna stay at 175)
    160: Kelly Pavlik
    154: Vernon Forrest
    147: Floyd Mayweather Jr.
    140: Ricky Hatton (barely)
    135: Nate Campbell/Joel Casamayor
    130: Manny Pacquiao
    126: Jorge Linares
    122: Israel Vazquez
    118: Hozumi Hasegawa
    115: Cristian Mijares

    here's my list

    200+: Wladimir Klitschko
    200: David Haye
    175: Joe Calzaghe
    168: Mikkel Kessler
    160: Kelly Pavlik
    154: Vernon Forrest
    147: Miguel Cotto
    140: Ricky Hatton
    135: Nate Campbell
    130: Manny Pacquiao
    126: Jorge Linares
    122: Israel Vazquez
    118: Hozumi Hasegawa
    115: Cristian Mijares
    112: Takefumi Sakata
    108: Ulises Solis
    105: Yutaka Niida

That should get some arguments going.

I should clarify. If you were to hand out fresh titles to whomever you
thought was the man in each division who would it be?
A pretty sound list except at 112 Nonito Donaire rightfully gets the nod because of the old addage "To be the man you have to beat the man" and he beat the man.

It is a toss up between Solis and Calderon at 108. Other then that a good list

I think we should start the Saddo Belt. Lineal champs, start by giving a boxer the belt and then they would have to lose it in the ring, vacate or retire. Just like the Ring's titles, but we could pick where it starts.

    Anyone interested?

I think it would be too similar to the Ring rankings.

I'd like a Hit List and Shit List with the current top 10 p4p most popular fighters and the current top 10 p4p most hated and detested. The criteria for popularity would be, whose most talked about, who has the most exciting fight options etc.

For hated it can be about those who have outstayed their welcome in the sport, whose fighting style is dull and not conducive to excitement and to those who contribute nothing good to the sport other than the prospect of them suffering catastrophic knockouts.

I'll start with my own non biased lists.

    Hit List

    1. Calzaghe
    2. Floyd
    3. Manny
    4. Cotto
    5. Pavlik
    6. Khan
    7. Margarito
    8. Froch
    9. Molitor
    10.Vazquez

    Shit List

    1. Hatton.
    2. Anthony Small
    3. David Haye
    4. De La Hoya
    5. Mijares
    6. Sturm
    7. Malignaggi
    8. Clottey
    9. Katsidis
    10.Cintron

I'm guessing the same would be true for our own rankings. And the actual top ranked guy would still be the same in virtually all cases.

I just want to wanted the opportunity to post my shit list really.
