I think Pac's speed both in attack and defence will help him to match, and possibly beat Hatton as well.... I'm sure this fight will happen at the start of '09.... A brilliant way to start the year for Hatton and Pac fans...

Not sure if it will help vs Hatton but thats a different story

As for Diaz, Pacs speed will give him a big advantage here. Diaz fights like a puncher but he isnt so he is gonna get hit alot in this fight and its a question of whther he can keep coming or if it knocks the fight out of him .

They say both are go getters but I predict Pac wil definatly be playing the matador to Diaz' bull . Early on Pacs gonna be looking great, getting out the way with superior movement and skill. Dont be surprised if Diaz hits the deck afew times . Then as the fight goes on It will get messy, Pac might start moaning about elbows/headbutts etc Diaz will be marked up and adanger of him being stopped on cuts. Towards the end Diaz will be pressing and really testing how much Pac wants it. Morales was use to wars so he handled Diaz ok but Pac may be abit more uncomfrtable cuz nobody has taken the fight to him since pre Nov 03 . Duno if Diaz will get a decision over Pac cuz its the type of fight where he will need to k.o Pac to get a draw but I think it will be a better fight than the easy win most are expecting .

I agree, Pac has trouble against fighters who can roughhouse him like Agapito Sanchez, and Hussein. This time it's gonna be somebody who's bigger and stronger. Pac's gonna need to stick and move in this one.

I think David Diaz is much cleaner fighter than those guys.

I basically responded to this same thing in another thread, but that just doesn't make sense to me.. Did Morales not fight Pacquiao 3 times before fighting Diaz And he didn't take the fight to Pacquiao? Hell he took the fight to Diaz when he was able to with his ancient legs. And another thing, did anyone think maybe there's a reason people haven't taken the fight to Pac when possible, because it plays right into his hands? I've actually heard comments that suggest Diaz will be a harder fight than Marquez because he'll take the fight to Manny and be pressing forward. It's such utter BS. Marquez could be a better come forward fighter than Diaz if he wanted to, but obviously he was going to use what works against Pacquiao. The trouble is Diaz doesn't posses those tools. This WILL be an easy win for Pacquiao, he'll beat Diaz however he wants to. David Diaz doesn't do anything better than Pacquiao except maybe fight at a constant pace... But what is that going to matter when Diaz going balls out full of energy can't do as much damage as a tired, hurt Pacquiao can with a jab. It's just nonsense to suggest Diaz has a good shot, imo.

With the recent “retirement” of Floyd Mayweather Junior, Manny Pacquiao has inherited the highly coveted “Pound-for-Pound King” label, and rightly so. Morales didnt take the fight to Diaz or Manny he tried to box both times but got dragged into a war and came off second best .

I duno if Marquez would be a better come forward fighter cuz he lacks faith in his own chin . Diaz knows he is useless but comes forward regardless until he makes his impression on teh other guy . Sanchez was able to rough up Pac which knocked him off his game but standing off liek Barrera and Marquez did allows Pac room which he wants . Get in his face like Sanchez or like Diaz will try and do and we'll see how he reacts but I think always looks better against guys he can rush. When hes mauling he wont be as effective but he will choose to play the matador vs Diaz

David Diaz and Agapito Sanchez fighting style are incomparable. Sanchez was well known to be a dirty ass fighter. Not all come forward fighter are dirty.

Speed and strength seems to favor the Pac but there are doubts if that will still hold true at 135 lbs. The Pac assures everyone that everything is still there.

Diaz, on the other hand has been in the weight class for quite sometime and he seems to pack enough strength as evidenced by his KO's. I would also judge him to be the hungrier and more dedicated fighter since he is yet to get a purse sizable enough for big world champions.

If Pac still has the speed and power that he had at 130lbs, he might just win this convincingly. But if he doesn't, this will be a long slugfest.

I gotta fill my fridge with tons of soda and buy lots of popcorn!

    AHA!!!!!!!!

GAME are you related to VD?

Coz the way you talk about SAnchez is very very similar. Agapito is a dirty fighter who does not deserve to be mentioned in this forum against Pacquaio.

I smell some multiple accounts here.
