Joe aint on Jones level your right, hes on a level above, he knows how to keep winning

Jones had his day, dont fret that he couldnt match Joes gameness and winningness

Also, if getting dropped is being close to losing then didnt Roy come close to losing against a vry ordinary David Telesco? Hmmmm
Which undefeated person that joe beat was close to hopkins or toney?

I think you're talking out of your ass right now.

I watched the David Telesco fight with my dad, and Roy won that fight easily with a fractured wrist and dominated him and afterwards the HBO crew gave him a birthday cake.

You just saying that he came close to losing to David Telesco throws out the rest of your argument, he beat the crap out of him and didn't lose one round. How did he come close to losing?
I just laugh at how biased he is its just hilarious and he wasn't even dropped by Telesco what the hell are you on about Ross ?? atleast to my knowledge he wasn't last time i watched the fight but it has been a few years since i've seen it. But i only remember Jones being dropped by Del Valle in his prime and that was a flash knockdown.

Jones Jr. by a mile. One of the easiest questions to answer in quite some time.

The display Jones put on fellow future hall of famer James Toney could go down as one of the best displays of boxing ever. He beat Toney as easy if not easier than calzaghe beat Lacy in his best fight.

Now who is the better fighter Lacy or Toney?

    Answers the question there.

The 6 people who voted for Calzaghe must have forgotten how fast the prime Roy Jones was. Clazaghe might have been able to win 2 rounds or so.

ICB said that Joe has come close to losing because he got dropped, well if thats the case then Jones must also have come close because he got dropped and as someone pointed out im getting Jones opponents mixed up (its easy because they are forgetable) I think it was Del Valle.

So that answers your question as to why Jones getting dropped is close to losing

I dont believe that being dropped is close to losing but if it can be used against Calzaghe then it should be used against Jones

    See how silly that was

Kessler was as good as Hopkins and Toney, before Calzaghe again proved how stellar he is Kessler was regarded as superman by alot of people here, he had unified 2 belts and been a champ for 4 years.

Toney could only manage to get 1 belt, he couldnt manage to unify anything He also had a hard time against the Blade, the same Blade that Nigel Benn wiped out 3 years earlier

With Jones lack of workrate there is noway he would beat a prime Calzaghe easily.

Yeh I agree with that. As I said earlier in the thread, I definitely would see RJJ winning, but it wouldn't be easy. JCC is a helluva lot beter than Di Valle or Griffin

No your the silly one certain knockdowns are different in boxing and you would know that if you actually watched Calzaghe vs Salem or if you actually done boxing yourself, Jones vs Del Valle was a flash knockdown and the punch wasn't that hard, where as Calzaghe was knocked down heavily by a hard right hand by Salem. And he was lucky it was just below the chin otherwise he could have been in even more trouble. Now i know your a hater Toney struggled with Barkley are you kidding me ?? you haven't seen that fight have you ?? you just made yourself look ridiculous with that comment. Try watching the fight Toney beat the living hell out of Barkley winning every round, and it was one of the finest boxing master classes in recent boxing history. Kessler was considered superman ?? please his best win was over Anthony Mundine.

Heres the first part watch the whole fight and tell me Toney struggled with Barkley

Jones never struggled with Del Valle he won every round against Del Valle except the round he was knocked down in, and he slipped on a wetspot. Because later in the fight Del Valle also slipped on the same wet spot Jones did when he went down. And Griffin was awkward so he gave Jones some problems, but he still wiped out Griffin in the rematch so that pretty much erases the first fight.

I think Jones would win but Joe has a bad style for him and would make Roy Jones work every second.

Just a shame it didnt happen 5yrs ago.

Kessler? are you kidding. He could not even hold Toney's hold Toney's and Hopkin's jock.
