The pole can throw ya,no option For Margarito LOl
How was Ricardo Mayorga not ranked, he was a reigning world champ?

And Oscar went closer to beating the worlds best fighter than arguably anybody else and he's beaten Steve Forbes since so how is he not qualified to fight Cotto?

With Floyd gone what better fight is there for Cotto than the Golden Boy. He'll have already beaten Mosely and Margarito, there is only Paul Williams left and Cotto would make at least double, maybe three times as much against Oscar AND get far more exposure than for all his previous fights combined.

If Cotto fought and beat Oscar that would do more for his career and to build his profile than everything he's done up to this point.

It would doubtless lead to a clamour of fanfare wanting to see Floyd come out of retirement to fight the guy that beat Mosely, Margarito AND Oscar and we'd have a genuine megafight on our hands.

And you can't tell me a fight between Cotto and Oscar won't be competitive because Oscar is always competitive with every man he's ever faced. Him and Cotto would be a great fight, and most definitely he's the opponent I most want Cotto to face after Margarito.
Great reply Bilbo you said everything I wanted to say. Spot on!

Oscar can win but if he was knackard after 6rds against Floyd imagine what he will be like against Cotto.

i can see Cotto being the only guy (that belongs in the ring with him) to stop him.

I`ll lay good money that ODLH-Cotto will be an all time classic that eventually results in an even bigger pay off 2nd fight and even in defeat cements ODLHs reputation as a great fighter!!

I agree that it would be a great fight but I think that Oscar is a man of his word and will retire after this fight. If Cotto does win though and people start talking about him as no1 p4p fighter in the world I think we will see the return of Mayweather as his pride won't let someone from his own division be seen as the best while he is still capable of doing something about it. But Floyd will start getting beat soon if he does comeback as there is just too much talent in his division and he is bound to have an off night sooner or later I mean lets look who he could have potential fights with and make even more $money$:

Cotto (very capable of beatin PBF)
Margarito (capable of beating anyone on his day)
Paul Williams (very tall rangey southpaw could cause Floyd some trouble)
Berto (vey impressive and improving all the time maybe not ready yet but give him 12 months)
Winner of Judah/Clottey (Ok he's already beat Judah but early on Judah was causing trouble and if he could work on his stamina and try keeping his head in it could give Floyd or anyone for that matter a good fight)
Mosley (Never write off sugar shane)
