Ya know...we call this sport all sorts of things. Boxing. Pugilism. The Sweet Science. The list goes on...
And what is it, ultimately? It is 2 people, trained, prepared, hopefully readied to fight the person who stands in front of them to the finish, at whatever cost. I'll go on a limb and say this is how I fight.
What I am watching on tv is not this. It is a bunch of potentially great fighters, forced to reckon with a system of scoring. And because of it, we see such things like the Rau'shee Warran fight. A person who instead of listening to his likely instincts and just battling like a warrior should, get confused in the muddle of who said, what where, when how...and all the other bullshit associated with something so primary and simple as...beat the fook out of the person in front of you!
Add to that I say, get back to basics you shitfookers. If you are a fighter, forget about counting. Beat the shit out of the person in front of you. If you are the corner....let that monster you created be what it is.
Some great boxers are going to make it thru this shit system. They deserve it. Others will be marred by the systems flaws. Time for a serious look at it.
Irish Captain Kenny Egan just won a convincing 10-2 and with a favourable draw against the Brazilian Silva, looks a good shot for at least a bronze.
Nevin is on later.

DONT FUCK WIT KURBANOV!!!
lol yeah i noticed that when i saw him fight, like some sort of tourettes or something!
I liked the look of him, really quick, agile.
Also for us from the UK shame Billy Joe Saunders went out earlier, the cuban looked pretty good. Jeffries has gone through though which is good, only saw the first round as had to come to work but by all accounts he just scraped through (level points ref awarded the decision to him). Bradley Saunders fights later today hopefully he can go through.

Is a shame that one of our prospect for bring Medal to P.R. , Carlos Negron on 81 Kilos lost 9-3 and was eiminated in his second fight with the Kazajistan Yerkebulan Shynaliyev.....................
Negron is the thirth Boricua boxer that is eliminated in the Olympics Boxing , we now have only the Hopes on Jose Pedraza in the 60 Kilos and McWillian Arroyo in the 54 Kilos............
Negron been very estatic on his ofensive , he kept at the distance and didnt attack his opponent , while his Corner and the Team been asking him to throw punches ................
Shynaliyev dominated the combat since the beginning , Negron in the thirth round got 2 points , but was too late for him with the score of 8-2..................
At the conclusion of the fight Negron looked very upset , he didnt attend the Local Media and either the International Media , he didnt want to talk with journalist.....................
Tomorrow Jose Pedraza will face to the French Daouda Sow in his second fight......................
Heres some pics of Negron fight................

Irish Light Welter was hard done by today.
Losing the first round 5-1 he launched a tremendous effort to fginish the fight at level pegging, he lost on countback against the aggressive Dominican.
Nevin boxed much more conservatively and cleanly and was unfairly penalised 2 points in the first round.
Observers such as Andy Lee and Michael Carruth voiced their disgust at the referee, but he'll be back in 4 years![]()
