    Default Margarito vs. Mayweather

Ok, When Floyd stops runnin long enough and agrees to fight Margarito he will understand what it means to be a real fighter. He is an extremely gifted athlete and skillful boxer, he will have to run the whole fight.

If floyd wins it will be on points only he is not going to beat up the tijuana tornado.

Floyd Mayweather will make Antonio Margarito look average and he will clearly outbox Margarito over 12 rounds im a fan of both fighters though im more of a fan of Floyd Mayweather but im being realistic here Floyd Mayweather moves too well and he can stay off the ropes like he did against Jose Luis Castillo in there 2nd fight so he would be taking away one of Antonio Margarito's strengths which is working on a opponent against the ropes........

Plus Antonio Margarito's punches are too wide plus he isn't quick enough in any attribute so i can't see Antonio Margarito winning this at all i see a potshot fest by Floyd Mayweather over 12 rounds clearly winning a UD.

If he wants the kind of lecacy he thinks he deserves he should fight Margarito,Williams and Cotto. Great fightrers dominate their division or at least fight the best opposition available. He ain't done that since he was a lightweight but he seems to think thats enough. It's a shame.

It's a shame he never fought Tszyu too. Instead choosing to move up to fight a past it Gatti, Mitchell, an already broken Judah, Baldomir....

Then all these tough Welters turn up and he fights an old De La Hoya and a Light Welter who is also past his best and already proven to be hugely disadvantaged at WW.

    Just my view

The only thing i'll say is that Kostya Tszyu would of got a fight with Floyd Mayweather but he lost to Ricky Hatton so Hatton got his shot which is fair right ?

And as for ODLH i give Mayweather alot of credit for the win ODLH had 1 stone advantage and plus if you look back at posts in 2006 and early 2007 people said he needed to fight ODLH to seal his legacy and he did indeed win at a weightclass he never fought at before then all of a sudden its ODLH is past it etc honestly i don't think Mayweather gets enough credit for quite alot of his wins im not saying he doesn't needed to fight Cotto/Margarito but i'll stand by with my comment i made.

Tszyu was the man of the division at that time and I think that is the fight that should have been made as soon as he moved to 140, afterall, what did Floyd prove at 140? That he could beat beaten fighters too?

Also, if Oscar was 5 years younger I tell you right now, Floyd would have gone nowhere near him, just like the Welters of today.

I agree with Kel on that.Has Mayweather come out of "Retirement" to grace us with his presence ?At this point I give Margarito a live chance at beating Floyd till I see Mayweather cut the theatrics and decide if it means enough to him to get back into the mix with championship caliber guys.Hypotheticals are a dime a dozen

Think Cotto vs Margarito first few rounds when cotto made Margarito look like a bum by boxing rings around him. Remember Cotto likes to brawl and the little boxing he did Margo had no answer. Now put Mayweather in there with his remarkable speed, and he will not get caught like Cotto did. While i agree he will never in a million years hurt Margarito he would dance to a UD.

*edit* Not to take away anything from Margarito who is a great fighter and aside from Williams is the best welter right now.

Interesting fight.. many have to remember mayweather has a eazy time with the taller fighters. also we are matching a true-welter in margarito against a much smaller guy in mayweather. until mays tastes defeat he is the man.. this is a dangerous fight for both.. i wood be shocked if it took place...

Mayweather is just too elusive, quick and accurate for Margarito.

Before Cotto fought Margarito everyone said Cotto was the only one who could truly test PBF now its Margarito

Cotto showed how to beat Margarito for the first few rounds and then ran out of gas, PBF can do that all night and would make Tony look average this is a perfect fight for Mayweater and I hope he takes it .

I mean don't these guy's know that this could be bigger than the Fabulous Four of the 80's. Leonard = Mayweather , Hagler = Margarito , Cotto = Hearns , De La Hoya = Duran. These guy's have got to stop this running around shit and just fight each other. These four fighter's alone could pull in to the 100 million dollar zone in each one of their fight's. It's kind of gettign aggravating.
