If Lacy can dial it back he has the potential to hurt Taylor worse than Pavlik did. Lacy has all the chin in the world and if a KO comes Taylor is going to have a workout to get it, but in the meanwhile Lacy has the potential to hurt him with either hand at any moment. I think Taylor will box for the first few rounds while playing keepaway, banking rounds until he relaxes, believe Lacy is a non-threat and that's when he'll get caught with something HUGE that will change the tone of the fight. If it goes to the cards Taylor wins and if it ends early there's an 80% chance Lacy will be the one standing on the turnbuckle.

Mendoza was one good punch from putting Lacy away about 3 times, in fact Lacy had to tackle Mendoza to avoid being KOed, which he admitted in the post fight interview.

For me the determining factor in this fight comes down to 1 thing Taylor's jab, if Taylor uses that jab all night he wins a wide UD, if not he gets outworked and possibly KOed. Although Taylor may have enough extra power to take out Lacy down the stretch, I think it's unlikely he will try and put him away.
For every story told that divides us, I believe there are a thousand untold that unite us.

The key is definitely Taylor's jab.

Mendoza didn't use the jab at all against Lacy and still managed to land huge shots against Lacy's crap defense. If Taylor can follow his jab with big right hands, Lacy is going to get KO'd.

OTOH, if Taylor tries to bang with Lacy instead of using his superior boxing skills, he will be taking a huge risk. Brawling isn't JT's style, and even worse, it's the only way Lacy can win.

Lacy is finished, Taylor will retire him.

Afew years ago I thought these two would be stars by now but they are pretty much on their last legs . Taylor coming off two losses having not looked good in his titles wins or defences. Lacy hasnt excited in years .

Its a crossraods fight and should be entertaining . My moneys on Taylor to be abit sharper and use his better boxing brain over the distance.
