I think I underwent some kind of breakdown and perhaps the responsibility of being Gandalf became too much to bear. Its not easy being a wizard, you know. Yes, life has got considerably easier since leaving the Clan, but I wouldnt attribute that to the influence of the Clan itself. For a good while after the Clan I was a tired individual.
