How can it not be Trinidad, he was the first man ever to knock him down. It was a brutal beating
I say De La Hoya cause his first combination in the 1st round dropped Mayorga. Mayorga stuck his chin out to Trinidad and taunted him. Mayorga did no such thing with Oscar. He felt his power, realized Oscar was for real, took the beating like a man.
Those are just my reasons for picking Oscar over Trinidad. But I really had a hard time deciding between the two.
I'd say probably Trinidad. I know which one I enjoyed more; and that was Oscar's beating he gave Mayorga; I was ecstatic about it after that whole build-up.
Ricardo Mayorga actually won 2 rounds against Felix Trinidad as i remember, the 1st round and the knockdown round. When did Ricardo Mayorga ever come close to winning a round against ODLH ? theres your answer.
Easily it has to be Tito. Trinidad beat him down when he still felt he had a chin that was unbreakable. He had lost that aura by the time he fought Oscar.
Example: Tito brutally KO's Vargas and Vargas in turn comes out gets dropped in his very next fight against an old Wilfredo Rivera. People don't come back the same after beatings like that and so many hard punches on the chin.
Remeber that's the same Oscar who couldn't put away little Stevie Forbes so let's not get carried away.

Trinidad and Oscars' beatings were both great. i would have to say Trinidad as most of Puerto Rico wanted Tito to put it on Mayorga and i really enjoyed when it happened.
one thing i do know for sure it definitely wasn't Mosley

ODLH destroyed Mayorga, I mean absolutely annihilated him. I have to say Trinidad's beating him was very gratifying though, something I could watch over and over.
For every story told that divides us, I believe there are a thousand untold that unite us.
theres no question DLH gave him the bigger ass whipping. Of course you could argue Trinidads win is more signifigant(and it is) because Mayorga hadnt been soundly beaten yet and had more to offer, but Mayorga was still somewhat in that fight until the 5th or 6th rounds, and there was always that element that he was dangerous. When Oscar fought him he dropped Mayorga HARD in the 1st round, you pretty much knew after that it was only going his way.
it was hard to pick but i went with tito even though oscar kicked his ass i think tito hit him harder than oscar. but oscar crushed his dreams
For me it was the Oscar beating. Oscar made him look so bad, like they didn't even belong in the same ring together, and Mayorga had talked so much trash going into the fight. Total domination in response to the trash talk was just so gratifying.
I'd like to say Tito but ODLH dropped him with the first series he threw...![]()
