    Few factors:

    1. Jones always fought 1 minute a round

    2. This older Jones now spends the other 2 mins against the ropes

    3. The one place you dont want to be is against the ropes fighting Calzaghe

    4. Calzaghes power is under-rated he hurt 3 of his last 4 opponents, Jones will underestimate this.

Unless Jones lands a Shavers type atom bomb on Joes iron jaw this fight is so easy to call one cannot fail to make money off it!

    Shamone mofo`s!
No way does Joe stop Jones.

who are these 3 opponents he hurt ? I know he hurt Kessler with a bodyshot. He hurt Lacy a few times but that was after round after round of nailing him with shots. He may of hurt them but he still didn't stop them.

Surely you ain't talking about the pure destruction of Manfredo ?? Damn i forgot the punishment he put down on him.

Calzaghe will hit Roy enough to stop him.

6rds at Calzaghes pace and Roy will be dead on his feet.

I want to know of the people that voted for Calzaghe (except for King Frank who is an idiot), how much honestly do you think your judgment has been altered by your dislike for Joe??

Not poking fun, but am seriously curious.

I voted for Jones for one reason, and that's because of his timing. I think Jones will be able to keep Joe off him all night and not have to work hard because of that. That's how I imagine the fight going. If he lays on the ropes as most others here expect him to Joe would most definately walk away with a decision. Either way this goes it wouldn't suprise me, a stoppage either way would.

i picked jones because i feel his speed and timing can keep joe at bay and i feel that joe will hit the floor atleast once if not twice. the only way i see joe winning is when he throws those little flurries that will score him some rounds but wont do any real damage

At his prime, Roy would have demolished Calzaghe. Right now...i can see it going either way. Sure, even now Roy is still faster and a better all around athlete than Calzaghe...but Roy's reflexes and great confidence have diminished. Then again...Joe barely beat a 43 year old, completely inactive (threw pretty much one punch the entire fight-straight right) Bernard Hopkins. A meaningless fight at this stage...but hoping Roy wins.

RJJ isn't quite as shot as people think i just don't think he has the stamina anymore. Which showed when he had Anthony Hanshaw in deep trouble, but had no energy to finish him.

Although you could make an arguement that he was toying with Anthony Hanshaw, and Felix Trinidad. But im not really sure but he still has the superior speed and it will cause Joe Calzaghe problems.

One thing i would like to see from RJJ is more of a killer instinct, he hasn't shown that in a long time. And he still has the speed which generates power, to hurt Joe Calzaghe and possibly put him down.

Plus he won't have to worry about Joe Calzaghe's power, so perhaps he will be more offensive. The only thing that worries me is that RJJ lays on the ropes too much, so i can see Joe Calzaghe getting a bullshit stoppage while RJJ is laying on the ropes.

But i do hope RJJ wins he is a legend and deserves to retire on top, just like i wish Pernell Whitaker would have.

Calzaghe has been hurt by far lighter punchers than Jones and he has been knocked down quite a few times. Most of he time hes been knocked down is when he decides to take chances or gets too comfortable. He cant afford any defensive flaws when he fights Jones because Jones will capitalize on any mistake Joe makes. That said, Jones was full of confidence thoughout his career until he was knocked out and sent back to earth. Joe still has that undefeated mentality that Roy once had. They are both vulnerable in this fight and I would not be surprised to see eather man down or knocked out. The way I see it going though is Calzaghe wins 4 or 5 of the 1st 6 rounds. The tide will turn when Roys right hand starts to find the mark and ultimately stops Joe in the middle or late rounds.

The punch to watch out for is the straight right of Jones... Roy Jones TKO8

Roy in his prime times, paste's,and stuns Calzaghe very badly.Roy is far removed from his prime and has reconstructed his career very carefully vs. Tito and Hanshaw to get himself back into the big show. This is not Jones of yesterday, his reactions to punches over last few is noticeable and stamina/durability seems abit measured.Joe Imo,does not have to knock down walls with power to effect Jones in a bad way....the work rate, attitude stamina may just have jones back pedaling double time looking for the perfect punch.Begrudgingly,I think Calzaghe wins this one, possibly by stoppage by Ref.

I voted on this one with my heart.

When I first started watching boxers early in my boxing career, it was Roy Jones Jr I watched. When I first started playing around in sparring, it was Roy Jones Jr. I mimicked. Still today I like to go watch some of his highlight moves and fights, the flash and the speed. Still today when I am sparring and feel goofy, I put my hands behind my back and stick my head out...

So although my brain tells me Joe will win this fight, my heart tells me not to listen, and to root for Roy Jones Jr., and hope to see some of the magic that brought so many of us to him.

Yea, my head usually wins out in these battles, I won`t deny it. But every now and again the heart does win over. So I`m going with my heart this time around, and going with my man Roy Jones Jr.
