Got to go with Tony...Not just because he won those 2 fights and 2 world title in 2008 but how he won them...He dominated those bouts

I picked Hopkins, after rewatching the Calzaghe fight I feel that he beat Calzaghe (by one round), I also feel that his domination of Pavlik, a fight in which he was a 4/1 underdog is the most impressive performance I have seen in a long time. I could just have easily gone with Margarito, I guess I'd have it a draw between the two.
Have to go with My man Margarito. He kicked in the front door and demanded over due respect.
Suprise or one on the rise of the year I'd say Timothy Bradley.Rewatched His fights with Witter and Cherry last night.Hell of a refreshing story, attitude and has nice hand speed.Needs some refining but definatly not a flash in the pan Imo,think he will be around awhile.
completely agree
the guys just come completely under the radar and surprised us all.
I make no qualms about not having a clue who timothy bradley was before the witter fight but having seen that contest, the cherry fight and several others id definitely put money on him being around for a while and possibly dominating the 140pound division once hatton calls it a day (pending berto doesnt move down to 140 as its been suggested)
one dangerous horrible bloke
One word... TONY!

Fighter of the Year is still up for grabs depending on the outcome of these fights:
Calzaghe vs. RJJ
Pac vs. ODLH
Mijares vs. Vic
Margarito
I'd like to say that for me Hopkins would fall more under "Comeback Fighter of year" then "Fighter of the year"... Just my opinion.
So far I have:
Nate Campbell
Guillermo Jones
Hopkins
Daniel Santos
*If Vic defeats Mijares I would give him the award if he loses I'd give it to Nate.
I love me some BCD but he falls short...
The other guys are facing P4P fighters, BCD hasn't.
Also Bradley?
You must have ran out of names...
Mijares or even Haye have got a better arguement.

This is going to sound crazy but I think Roman Gonzalez deserves a mention because of his jumping into the international scene over Niida.
Joan Guzman deserves a mention because he is on so many p4p lists and he hasn't even fought this year.
If Mijares beats Vic he will have picked up 2 extra straps in the puzzle, and that's against pretty good competition in his weight class (If he beats Vic he needs to go after Montiel next)
JuanMa if he looks good against Medina should be mentioned as well.
My final pick from your list is BCD though.
For every story told that divides us, I believe there are a thousand untold that unite us.
