I believe it was already posted, but I don't think this could be posted enough.

I'm not sure why so many people are all sentimental over this story?

A rich famous guy sparing some time for a terminally ill kid. It happens all the time, no?

Anyway.. Hopkins made the kid happy in his final days - so that's good. And all that really matters.

I admit, I'm one of the ones getting sentimental over this story. Truely touching read...

Half way through I was just praying the kid lasted long enough to see him beat Pavlik. Was happy he did.

Not really Fenster, just like the mom said. Hopkins could have agreed to meet the kid, say all the right things and move on with an autograph or something. Hopkins gave the kid his cell # visited with him and the family, just went way beyond what ayone could have ever expected..

Solid class act on this one

This feeds in to what Ive been saying about Bernard for years
There's a perceived Bernard, and then theres the other guy
The perceived Bernard is hardened criminal who fights dirty
The real Bernard is a devoted family man, a vegetarian, and if you watch his fights, he only goes dirty after the other guy does,he's just way better at fighting dirty then the other guy is at it
