Default how us brits watch a big fight..

You guys will never know the joy us brits get of watching a big vegas fight.

so i`ll try and guide you through....

8pm - off down the pub with fellow boxing nuts to discuss the nights action and which guy we`ll be rooting for

9.30 - off down the off licence for bags upon bags full of cheap lager (bottle of vino if some of the girls are there) before popping into the local indian and ordering a ruby murray (cockney rhyming slang for curry, just for you yanks )

10pm - the nights action locally gets well and truly going, this week we have froch-pascal, khan-fagan, maccarineli returning to the ring and my fave fight of the night fraudley harrison up against martin rogan (naturally not being able to watch 2 cards at once one of them gets recorded for later viewing.

12.15am - by now the drunkometer is teetering to the wrong side of tipsy and fifa 2009 or a game on the Wii is usually the order of the day just to keep us well and truly awake.

2am - the undercard gets going, and for some uncontrollable reason we almost always decide to back the underdog roaring him on while the neighbours contemplate at what point our rowdy behaviour will finally cease.

3.30am - big fight entrances and by now if your able to stand up and clap the fighters in youve obviously not followed through this plan to its full extent and need to get a few extra stellas down your neck by the time the 1st bell gets going.

9am - we all wake up with a massive hangover half us completely unaware of who won or how they did so, so its in with the dvd recorder and time to watch the nights events unfold all over again while polishing off the last few remaining beers and left over cold indian food.

    and thats your guide folks

And after that,if you are a proper bloke you will be in the local park turning out for a Sunday league team at 10 30 am. Complete with a stinking hangover and a 16 stone meathead kicking the fuck out of you for 90 minutes with encouragement from a car full of deranged mates, stray bull terriers running on the pitch and the referee is the manager of the other team cos the ref didnt show.

That all applies to me. Except going the off license (Instead the bookies) and not getting smashed.

    Those nights are great.
