My mate just told me he heard on talksport this morning that he's fighting a fella from Puerto Rico. I looked on boxrec and the only one which seems worthy is Francisco Palacios.

Last week Setanta were apologising to Warren over comments Hide made on their boxing show. I'm sure he was accusing Warren of owing him dough or something.

Plus Herbie is currently with Hennesey. What happens if he sparks Enzo? Warren loses the WBO belt to a rival promoter and fighter he has aggro with. Can't see him risking that.

I havent seen anythign official myself but my friend said that it was Warren who spoke on the radio. obviously the opponent is my guess!

Palacios is WBA #4 and WBC #7. Doesnt have to mean much (havent seen him), but that wouldnt be that bad with a week's notice and with Enzo Mac coming off a loss.

Can't see this one turning out like the prescott debacle either. This guy Alvarez has already been beaten by some bum. And he's a lightheavyweight so he's naturally quite smaller than Mac. Hide would have been far better but he was too much of a risk for Warren and I would have probably bet on him to beat Enzo.

With Herbie Hide's history, I reckon it's more likely that he talked up the primary approach by Sports Network to get some attention, and get his name over the press once again, without ever really seriously considering going in for the fight on four days notice, because to be fair....who would go in with so little time to prepare a gameplan etc?

Letting everyone know Herbie Hide was a possible Enzo opponent got people talking about the fight.
