He will beat Hatton with his unmatched artform of a boxing style that he has.
Then go on to face Pacman.Hopefully!
Pacquiao vs Hatton is tentatively set for May 2 already.

We can all kiss Marquez vs Hatton goodbye for the meantime.

    IF PAC and JMM will win their respective next fights;

PAC beats Hatton and JMM beats Juan Diaz ...

Is it ripe for them to have a 3rd fight?

If the above scenario happens, I'm guessing PAC taking PBF next and JMM taking the winner of Campbell/Funeka fight...

Marquez should not entertain fighting at 140,no way.I think chasing Hatton and or Pac is a network "superfight" other than what JMM is due and is best for him at natural range....division jumping running amok!

As well, damn shame Campbell is shut out of the big picture right now, deserves something for how that Guzman fiasco came off and its almost as if they are just waiting for him to go away?

Marquez is awesome but I honestly think his time with Pac is over. Pacquiao doesn't plan on going back down to 135 and is on to potential megafights with Hatton and Mayweather. The only way I see another Pacquiao vs Marquez matchup is if Pacquiao loses to Hatton.

I think Marquez should unify the lightweight division.

Agreed.Unify the belts. That's all.Marquez easily gets hit and I doubt if he can take the punches of 140 pounders. Casamayor is old and has been at 135 his whole life. As you grow old your body has to compensate. I saw Casa hit JMM with clean counters and I felt if he only had the power he would have been KOed cold.We saw him bein dropped multiple times by Pacquiao and Barrera. I like JMM a lot..but IMO he should call 135 his home and stop following Pac. The guy is a freak physically. He should do great against a feather fisted Juan Diaz.

Not true. His amateur career was initially at Bantamweight & then Featherweight. He also fought at 130lbs up until his 2nd fight with Corrales in 2004, although correct me if I'm wrong

But i don't see what these fights have anything to do with JMM's chin, and its not like Ricky Hatton is a big hitter. When is the last time Ricky Hatton had a KO against a good opponent ?

I'd question Ricky Hatton's chin more he was stopped by Floyd Mayweather, who isn't a big puncher at the heigher weightclasses. He was rocked by a natural Lightweight Juan Lazcano, JMM just recently stopped iron chinned Joel Casamayor, and JMM has never been stopped in his career i think he beats Ricky Hatton no problem.
I'm with ICE, Marquez wasn't the same fighter when he lost to Norwood and he DEF did not lose to John.

I think Hatton could hurt Marquez but he would have to hit Marquez first. I think Marquez controls Hatton from a distance the whole fight. Each time Hatton would lunge in Marquez greets him with straight rights like Mayweather did. If Hatton gets in close, Marquez could hit him with some combinations then get out of there or have Hatton back out as a result. As long as Marquez could fight at 140 and not look out of shape I'm all rooting and predicting for a Marquez points decision.

With that said, if Hatton worked on the inside, I don't know how Marquez would handle that but I would think Marquez would avoid it at all costs.

The way I see it is Hatton stopped the powerful guy in Tszyu and stopped the speedster in Malignaggi . Whatever Marquez tries Hatton will beat him at . Marquez is no Mayweather . Infact I think a washed up Barrera beat him and he landed more shots .Ricky is too big .

I wouldnt be shocked if Marquez pulled it off cuz Hatton showed he may be over the hill vs Lazcano but seemed to get abit back in his last fight

    Hatton by KO

    Everything considered Marquez-Mayweather

    Hatton- Pac

    Winner take winner
    If I could choose.

At this weight I think MArquez looses ,PAc wins . MAyweather wins both.

PAc beats MArquez next time around too if it ever happens again.

MArquez HAtton interesting more even than the rest I think.
Skill could get a decision for Juan.
Catching Juan could take the wind out of his sails at this weight, good match in styles maybe so long as Hatton wouldnt fight like he did against Mayweather or he would be schooled again.

That would be a sweet idea! Unfortunately, I don't think Marquez has the mainstream appeal to make Mayweather come out of retirement. That fight won't generate the revenue needed to fulfill Floyd's need.

SERIOUSLY THEY BETTER NOT PUT HATTON IN WITH JMM IF THEY WANT THAT FIGHT WITH PAC
It would be a good fight , personally i think Hatton would stop JMM , but it would be a nice blend of styles for the purist fan.

Mayweather was able to hit Marquez with the right hand because of his ability to leap in with it, Marquez doesn't do that, nor is Marquez a super difficult person to hit. Marquez has good defensively skills, but he is there to be hit. Hatton wouldn't back up against JMM, he would be on him 24/7 in the ring, and Marquez is the dynamic fighter that Mayweather, isn't as fast or as athletic or as hard to hit. I agree offensively his combinations cause Hatton problems, but whether those problems are big enough to win him the fight I think is up in the air.

It would be an interesting fight, but I wouldn't be worried at all of Mayweather losing, against Pacquiao there definitely is a huge chance he would lose because of the speed, output and Manny's southpaw stance. Marquez is very fast, but slower than Floyd, he isn't as big as Floyd, and he's there to be hit to a degree, I think Mayweather wouldn't have a huge amount of difficulty getting in and out on Marquez after a few rounds or beating him up with that stiff jab.

i would say hatton takes this one also. i'm apprehensive that jmm would have to move up another weight division and i've noticed him slowed down in the casamayor fight.

JMM vs Hatton would be an interesting contest. I would say it is a pretty even fight...JMM is very skilled and accurate puncher would would land some clean shots on Hatton's chin, it will be a matter if Hatton can stand up to them. If so I believe he can rough up JMM and wear him down.

I would definitely be excited about the match up.
