I actually don't want anything at all and i don't need nothing, don't really like Christmas as i said in the other thread. Had a few bad experiences in the past. But i am going on a little holiday with my girl soon, so maybe that could technically be regarded as a present ?
world peace
OK, no spoilers. You can safely ignore my asterisk remark, in this case it's not really that relevant.
Ayn Rand is a philosopher as much as an author. Her stories have a message. Fountainhead is a great story that is not overpowered by message. You cannot say the same for some of her other books. "We the Living" is another of her stories I really enjoyed.
enjoy, let me know what you thought when you're done.
Ahh so, it is wisdom then, Grasshopper!
Toa te Ching; (way of life ) (or (The eternal way)
By Lao Tsu (6th century Bc China)
Number Three:
Not exalting the gifted prevents quarreling
Not collecting treasures prevents stealing
Not seeing desirable things prevents confusion of the heart.
The wise therefore rule by emptying hearts and stuffing bellies,
by weakening ambition and strenghtening bones.
When people lack knowledge and desire,
then intellectuals will not try to interfere.
If nothing is done ,then all is well.
This is the way of theTao ,this is the natural order of things.
Im only getting one gift for Christmas, but thats ok,Ive gotten many more the rest of the year. They may not seem like gifts if you look at it on the surface. You could call it the results of hard work. But alot of people work hard, and dont get the gifts Ive recieved. Rather then striving for too much, your better off appreciating that you have more then enough for anybody.
Aside from the gifts I bought for myself the other day (a Harris Tweed Jacket, argyle sweater, and grey dress pants all for about $530).....I am getting a smoking jacket![]()
The new ALI book that came out not soo long ago.I've asked for it tonnes of times so fingers crossed i should get it.By the way has anyone on here read it yet and if so whats it like?It has really good ratings!
Driving to Flordia Tomorrow.....1st Christmas with the Folks and two of my sisters together in over ten years. All the gift I need....I dont need it wrapped, just fine the way it isI'm stoked!!!!
Rihanna.
if i cant have that then a new 50 inch TV would be nice![]()
