    #1. Rocky was losing
#2. Rocky took a hell of a beating in the previous round
    #3. Rocky KO'd him with 1 punch
One of my all time faves. I call it the "quickdraw". Rocky outquicked "Jersey Joe" Walcott, and knocked him out cold! The old guy was himself unloading, and delivering his sunday punch, but was cut short midway by the "Rock".

I love how Rocky just kind of calmly walks away with no emotions showing after ko-ing him before jogging to the neutral corner. He seems like he was a nice guy that loved to fight.

    Great call...

Eubanks KO over Dos Santos and Azumahs beauty of a left hook over Dal Rovere also spring to mind.
I'm a long time Benitez fan. If you watch closely, you will see that Hope drops his left slightly as if to throw a left hand, and Benitez instantly throws the right. I sort think the right comes too fast to be labelled a reaction to Hope moving his left. Which sort of implies a certain element of luck involved in the KO. I'm not sure. Your thoughts?

I had a personal beef with this fight. No I wasn't born yet but when I watched all the hype and all of Cooney's earlier fight's Ken Norton was commentating and every single fight Cooney was in Norton bashed him and said some nasty racial s**t. Ala Holmes in there fight. Nobody put a gun to Norton's to get in the ring that night hell he thought nothing of Cooney but he was a great white hope who had been carried as later HBO would try to make clear with the legendary night's episode. All I can say is he disposed of Norton, Jimmy Young who beat Foreman, Ron Lyle, John Dino Dennis who was a very good fighter people forget about.

    Frankie Liles vs Tim Littles

Tim Littles was fighting all dirty throughout the fight until he walked right through Frankie's right hook to the jaw. Wow! That punch could be heard clearly. I can imagine Liles saying in his head "Timbeeeeeeeer!". Time Littles went face first to the floor and stayed in that position until they counted 10.

A lot of people had racial things to say about Cooney's fights, especially the one against Holmes. Holmes was not the worst offender by far. Nor was Cooney. Nor was Norton.

Sure, Norton went in out of free will. And ended up taking shots while sitting on the ropes with his hands at his side.
