And what fight is that, with Ali hitting the canvas?

You know if you examine your boxing knowledge carefully, it will tell you that the truth favors the opposite of your statement.

Let's go from the latest KD of Ali to the earliest -
    1. Chuck Wepner,
    2. Joe Frazier 1,
    3. Henry Cooper 1,
    4. Sonny Banks.

Did I miss anything? I am guessing you watched the Wepner fight... right?

If anything, Ali was saved by his granite chin from defeat, one too many times to his detriment. Instead of getting KO'ed and receive a lesser beating, he ends up winning or otherwise, but be desperately absorbing a tremendous battering.

It can account partially if not totally to the Parkinson's disease that Muhammad Ali is afflicted with nowadays. So in retrospect... granite chins are a blessing and a curse to a boxer. It is a matter of “delicate” balance. The slightest tip to any side can cause a lifetime of glory, or a lifetime of horror!

It was heart, he took everything Corrales and Barrios had to throw at him, he just quit everytime he was truly tested. The Barrios fight was his high point and the Juan Diaz fight was his low point...it's a shame he had so much talent and never reached his potential.

Also Wladimir Klitschko's chin isn't THAT bad....Clifford Ettienne's chin was faaaaar more fucked up than Wlad's and RJJ's chin wasn't an issue until he got blindsided by Tarver. I think you can see Wlad took some pretty solid shots off of Sam Peter (the legal ones at least), Lamon Brewster (in the first fight), and Corie Sanders...he took one shot (a left cross) right on the button and got back up....his legs and psyche didn't keep him up long but he got right back up.

michael grant (he was somewhat of a name in the heavyweight divison, several years back)

I forget all about Jello Legs Grant, I think one time his legs were so unstable that he broke his ankle (against Lewis) or something like that.
It was against Jameel Mcline with the 1st punch of the fight.

Has anyone seen Grants ko loss to Guinn? That was as brutal as some of the stuff you see on ogrish.

Wlad's chin isn't great but not quite glass either. Everyone who has floored or KO'd him are big punchers and he is in the hardest punching division at the end of the day. Roy Jones was never really troubled until he lost all the weight to make Lightheavy again and I truly believe that is what weakened him.

My vote goes for Amir Khan. He's been floored off basically journeymen and viciously KO'd by an unknown.

Charles Brewer.I really liked Brewer, very exciting, sharp hitter and would sell out for his offence in an instant.Tough mentality but he could be touched when you least expected it...made him very TV friendly coming up.

My good freind from Brooklyn.. Mark Breland had a very suspect chin. Lou Duva's frist World champoin Johnny "Bump City" Bumphus had a weak beard and the "Black Mamba" Roger Mayweathers' chin was as soft as his the pillow he sleeps with.

Tommy Morrison, Micheal Moorer, Wlad Klit, Tommy Hearns, Terry Norris, , Zab Judah,

Tommy Morrison and Michael Moorer both were knocked out 3 times. Moorer was knocked out By Foreman, Holyfield and David Tua and in the Tua fight he was past his prime. Morrison was knocked out by Mercer after he gassed himself out, Lewis in a fight he didnt seem to be into, and by Micheal Bent a highly regarded amatuer fighter who he looked past, Yeah that really is having a bad chin isnt it?

Here is a better list than anybody has given this far. Archie Moore was knocked out numerous times and knocked down numerous times in his prime when he was a middleweight by average fighters. You will never hear how bad his chin aws because it proves how overrated Marciano was, it took him 9 rounds of punching to knocked out a 40 year old middleweight who was knocked out alot faster in his prime. Jersey Joe Walcott was knocked out 6 or more times as well but again just to prove how great Marciano was people overrated Walcotts boxing skill and chin

Olev Maskaev was knocked out 7 or so times and for the most part by hacks, Cory "T-Rex" Sanders iced him, Lance Whitaker, Oliver McCall, Sam "The fat bum" Peter yet he keeps getting title shots. Must be because he is european. Lennox Lewis was knocked out 2 times in his career by one punch by guys not knock for being huge punchers. John Ruiz, he was only knocked out one time but that is because he doesnt fight anymore. He gets in the ring and grabs and rubs against his opponent, The moment he tried to be a real boxer he get wacked in 20 seconds

Of course we have Wladimir Klitcshko, One of the most overrated fighter of all time besides Rocky Marciano. When you touch Wlad no matter who you his knees buckle and he runs away.

OK GeorgeForeman8....say what you will about whoever you want to but understand that when you post stuff like saying Wladimir and Rocky Marciano are overrated then you're going to get on my bad side.

Rocky is overrated huh? I guess that's what beating everyone you ever fought will get you

Wladimir has only been KO'd by big time punchers (bar the Purrity fight and he was gassed out then). Sure his chin ain't the greatest but he has taken some HUGE shots and stayed up...in the first Lamon Brewster fight he caught a HUGE left hook and he stayed up until Lamon followed up on him.

Has no one has said Ken Norton?!?!?! Earnie Shavers as well!

Lennox's chin wasn't all that bad...he's 1 of only 3 guys who was able to take Vitali's bombs
