Default Honestly. Who do you think won?

I haven't seen the Berto Vs Collazo fight yet but the report I read on Fightnews made it sound like the result was a good one in a close fight!

Who did you guys who were lucky enough to see this fight score it for!

I had it 114-113 for Collazo. Berto did show alot of guts though in the 12th round. Berto hurt Collazo in the 12th with a hard combination to the body. If he was a little bit more expierenced by just sticking to the body shots he would have stopped Collazo.

114-113 Berto (115-113 without the deduction). Close fight, but I felt Berto edged it. I can completely understand those who score it 114-113 Collazo though.

as a Berto fan, i scored it 114-113 for Collazo..

I felt Berto could have won the fight almost easy if he stuck to his strengths and did not fight on the inside.. He made a LOT of mistakes, and was very sloppy compared to his usual technically sound self.. He looked out of gas VERY early in the fight, and while Collazo, even though they were not power punches, was piling up the punches, Berto was barely responding and looked very sluggish.

As much as i wanted Berto to win, i had no issue giving Collazo the fight simply because if Berto lost and watched the tape, he'd ask for a rematch INSTANTLY because his flaws were very visible..

114-113 Collazo. However, I thought the point deduction was bogus. It was a dead even fight. I can see it going to Berto by a round, too.

There was one round in particular, maybe 6 (one of the middle rounds anyways)? That I really felt could've gone either way which I scored for Berto, giving him the win. Collazo could just have easily won that round though, making it even in rounds, but giving him the win because of the deduction. I was cheering for Collazo.

I really think in the rematch, should it take place, Berto is going to stay more to the outside and box his way to a UD in a much less exciting fight than the one we just saw.

The 1st and 6th rounds were incredibly even.
For every story told that divides us, I believe there are a thousand untold that unite us.

I scored 1 and 6 for Collazo, but they were very close rounds. I also had round 5 for Berto and that was a close round also. Rounds 1 and 6 were the biggest swing rounds. All the judges must had had those for Berto to make their scores.

Berto has to get credit for coming back after Collazo started to take command of the fight in rounds 3 and 4. Even had Collazo gotten the decision, this fight proved a lot to me about Andre Berto. A lot of fighters fold the first time they get pushed like that but Berto overcame it. This should serve him well in the long term.

114-113 to Collazo courtesy of the dubious point deduction.

I feel the fight was deserving of draw status and I hope a rematch is made. Shame 1 of the judges couldnt have scored it 114-113 to Collazo to make it a split and cast more doubt over the outcome to make the rematch happen.

Regarding the 'swing rounds' I scored rounds 1 and 6 to Collazo.

My scorecard was identical to Lederman's bar the schizoid embolism he had when he awarded round 7 to Collazo.

    115-113 Andre Berto.

I don't think it was razor thin close but it was highly competitive. I thought Luis Collazo didn't do enough work in the middle rounds, he went to sleep and hardly done anything. He made a good comeback in the 9th/10th rounds.

When he fought like a windmill outworking Andre Berto, but Andre Berto replied in the last 2 rounds outworking Luis Collazo. To seal the deal of any doubt i had regarding the decision.

What was suprising is that Andre Berto was getting beat on the inside, and Luis Collazo was getting beat on the outside. I thought it would be the other way around, but basically a very entertaining fight the best fight of the year. But Luis Collazo was outworked down the stretch, and didn't do nowhere near enough in the middle rounds.

Exactly what ICB said, IMO it is terribly poor judging, and terribly biased judging to give both rounds 1 and 6 to Collazo, he landed less punches in both of them, especially in the 6th, and in no round during the fight was he landing the better shots. So Berto landed harder and more punches, I don't see how people could see him losing rounds because of that.

This was basically my score card except I gave 11 to (IIRC) to Collazo; which left it a draw for me.

I was irritated that Bob Papa kept saying that Berto went down in the 1st! He said it through the whole fight and apparently nobody informed him of his mistake. Also, was Ledderman on crack to give round 7 to Collazo? He totally took that round off!

As for Berto ending up fighting the fight that wasn't the best for him, I totally credit Collazo for that. He pressured his way inside and got the fight largely on his terms. His experience gave Berto a great learning experience, and the fact that Berto dug so deep is very encouraging for his future.
