This is a fight where you don't want to go and take a piss in the middle of it because it could be all over as early round 1 or 2.
Both fighters dislike each other and each are unorthodox in their own way, they could both knock themselves out as JR said earlier ( i like that scenario by the way) Vic has improved a helluva lot in 12 months and i was a harsh critic but credit where it is due, he has turned it around and will again against Arce who will end up on his Arse' i think.

Based on the fact that i think Arce has always been slightly overrated cos he is exciting to watch, if u look at his and Vics common opponents it points to the fact Vic i on a higher level.

Mijares won UD v Arce, Got Ko'd rd 9 by Vic
Victor Burgos won pts v Arce Got Ko'd rd 12 by Vic

In fact anytime Arce has stepped up to fight a real world class fighter he has been found wanting and i believe we'll see that again v Darchinyan.
Are you kidding me? That's an ignorant logic. Ricardo Mayorga destroyed Vernon Forrest the same fighter who beat Shane Mosley. Yet Mosley knocked Mayorga out. Mosley just knocked out Margarito. The fighter who stopped Cotto. Cotto had a win over Mosley. Style make fights.

There's a difference between reading about common opponents and watching the fights with common opponents. Go watch Burgos-Arce and tell me Burgos really deserved that win. Cuz he didn't. Either way that fight took place almost 12 years ago. Burgos was 23 years old and coming into his own against a green Arce. The Burgos, Darchinyan faced was 33 years old and shot. It's foolish to compare there fights.

The way I see it, both fighters will get hit in this fight. Aside from a stoppage in his 4th fight Arce has only been stopped one other time. That was 10 years ago. Against one of the strongest fighters ever to fight in the lower classes. Michael Crabajal. He can take a punch. Darchinyan can't. He got knocked out by a modest puncher in Donaire. A one punch stoppage. Even Z Gorres who has less power than Donaire dropped and hurt him. Now he's about to face a stronger fighter. What do you think is going to happen when Arce hits him in the chin? I'll tell you. He's going down. And will stay down
U cannot deny that everytime Arce has stepped up he has lost, including in his prime, and Jorge is far removed from his prime now. Vic is on an alltime high and has to go in as favourite and will more than likely KO Arce or win a one sided UD.
Burgos had 8 losses when he fought Arce and lost the fight before and 2 fights after. Whether he deserved he win or not if Arce was any good he should have KO'd him.
Donaire has a similiar KO% to Arce yet Donaire is a modest fighter and Arce is a powerpuncher?
Vic is fighting on a higher level than Arce ever has, if it wasnt for Arce exciting style and ring entrances he wouldnt get half the exposure he does cos he aint that good really.
Name a real good fighter Arce has beaten comprehensively, even a guy ranked in the top 3 in his division.
I called Donaire a modest puncher (which he is) not a modest fighter. Arce KO% is 70%. Donaire is at 60%. How is that similar? It's a 10% difference. Arce has beaten several good fighters. Rosendo Alvarez was an outstanding fighter. Rafael Concepcion was a young hungrey fighter who was coming off a big win over undefeated flip prospect AJ Banal. Hussein Hussein would of had a better career he wasn't runined by Arce. Darchinyan big wins are against Christen Mijares and Irene Pacheco. Good wins. But there's more to them. Mijares I think overlooked Darchinyan. He certainly fought like it. And paid the price for his stupidity. Pacheco had been on the sidelines for over a year. And he looked it. If you look at Darchinyan record you'll see he's never beaten a big puncher. Luis Maldonado was the closest thing to one. And he was smaller and with a padded record. Arce is a big puncher. And he has heart. He's been hurt and has come back to win. Let me ask you this. When has Darchinyan ever shown heart? When has he come back from adversity to come back and win a fight?

Well he never really has had to cos he has dominated everyone except Donaire. IPacheco gave him problems early and Vic seemed confused but he still came back for the win.
His past few fights have shown he can come back from adversity, got Ko'd cold yet came back better than ever. Mijares wasnt looking passed him he just got beat plain and simple. Guess we'll just have to agree to disagree and see what happens. I'll be first to admit it if im wrong.

Arce makes me laugh. He's comical at times. I'd make him the underdog in this fight.

This is going to be a war of ego's, I don't think either one of these guys wants to take a step backwards. This will definately be exciting while it lasts. Defense is kind of an afterthought for both of these guys. Can Vic's power affect Arce? Thats one thing Arce has going for him, bigtime heart. He may just have the right balance of power and chin to weather the Vic storm.

Also, he is right that Vic left is the priority to avoid, but he has shown some diversity lately.

    hard one 50/50 .
Ive never been convinced on Vic. He looks too much like he fights to protect a weakness on one side or something; If someone can continually open him up and tag both sides of him he is going to thrown down the cover and go down because of it. Like a crab get past that one strong arm ,crack the shell and theyre finished. So I suppose Im with Arce How are his angles? can he do it without getting caught?
