You know, people tend to slight Minto a lot, he may not be the best but he brings it. I would actually like to see this fight happen if Arreola can't get a title shot for his next fight.

There goes the idea of HBO only broadcasting quality fights. To me this fight is pointless Arreola in one or two rounds.

The problem is that the April 11th date will be the Williams/Winky undercard. That means there probably is not enough money to get a bigger name in there like Peter.

This is probably true, Minto may be a more viable option. Arreola can look great on HBO and Minto gets to put his money where his mouth is.

I like Minto, but he lost to a 46 y/o Tony Tubbs. Thats a hard thing for me to get past. He may have improved some since but Arreola would crush him imo.

Kind of a step in the wrong direction for Arreola. They were trying to line up Wlad as his next fight...so they fail and get Minto instead? There may not be much more money to go around, but surely they can get someone better than Minto. Jameel McCline maybe?

If Brian Minto could BOX then hell yeah I'd figure he'd have the stuff to beat Arreola but honestly Arreola is just a poor man's David Tua right now
