Default Jamie Moore finally gets his chance this friday

Shame he has to wait so long, i mean he was ready for this fight after he beat Macklin back in 2006, i hope he wins this i think Piccirllo is a bit long in the tooth but has been in with the likes of Vernon Forrest, i hope Jamie wins this and gets a world title shot he deserves it.

The press conference for the fight was today. Moore, Piccirillo and Darren Sutherland were in attendance. I'm uploading a video to YouTube - maloneypromotions's Channel right now so it should be available in a couple of hours

Great preformnce but lets be honest the ex champ was there for the pay day and nothing else, hope Jamie can get a crack at a world champ its not the deepest of divisions right now at the very top.

Who should he fight to win a world title?

I'm sure they can give him a go at one of the top 5, not the most exciting division by any rate but Jamie's willing to fight, looks solid and hopefully they've noticed him accross the pond.

Any fight with "Mr Exciting" should be an interesting one, hopefully get a world title shot before the years up.

That was a cracking fight, hopefully Moore gets some more recognition i was a bit disapointed that HBO didnt mention Moore in the mix up at 154 prior to the Kirkland fight last night especially as he won the European belt only 24 hours earlier, Boxrec have him ranked at 6. Like i say the title holders in the division for me are all beatable there either old or been beaton numerous times, Santos is the one id chase as he is a decent pro but average Takaloo gave him a run for his money a few years back and i think Moore is alot more rounded than Takaloo.

I also remember the Jamie Moore v Matt Macklin fight....it was shortly after I started posting here and I'd got Sky installed the day after, and just about caught the repeat.

As for Jamie, I'm totally chuffed for him, I interviewed him for the site a couple of years ago, and he was an absolute gent, spoke with me like a guy he'd met down the pub, not some guy who'd called him up wanting a piece of his time.

Truly hope he gets his deserved world title shot by the end of the year, he's been paying his dues for plenty of time now.
