Default Sakio Bika calls out Bernard Hopkins

I haven't seen this anywhere on the boards so I'll put it up.

Current IBO Super Middleweight Champ & Contender gold Medalist Sakio Bika spoke out this week about his frustration at the lack of challengers. Speaking from his home in Sydney Australia Bika had this to say. “I read about Bernard calling out to Joe Calzaghe who has retired – I say that Joe summed it up nicely in telling me & the media that I am the hardest hitting oppnent he had faced. This has obviously spooked him as he doesn’t want to know nothing about me. I gave Joe more troubles than B-Hop so why not fight me ? Are you scared ?

"Instead of calling out a Champ who has retired take me on and you will join Joe in retirement. B-Hop was my idol 10 years ago but he is a long long way from the Executioner of old. Bernard knows if he faces me it will be his last fight because I wont just beat him I will knock him out”.

I really don't mean any disrespect to Bika as he's a good fighter and a tough guy but Bernard Hopkins would pay about the same attention to me calling him out.

if Codrington was able to drop him and take him to the limit, B-Hop would leave him sleeping on the canvas

I think Bika deserves a shot at a big name as much as anyone else. He travels anywhere and fights anyone. But Sakio unfortunately is barking up the wrong tree trying to fight Hopkins. I think he'd be better served calling fighting someone like Jeff Lacy, or could call out Froch or Taylor after their fight. Hopkins wont fight a relative no name at this point in his career.
I honestly think the most money Sakio could make would be in a fight v Mundine in Australia.

Yep that's about right. I really don't know why Bika thinks he is a badass. He's a decent boxer, but Hopkins must be laughing at this right now.

I doubt anything will come of this, since I know that Kathy Duva has been in serious talks with Golden Boy for a fight between Hopkins and Adamek. The date I'm hearing is July 11th.

I like Bika but he brings nothing to the table for Hopkins.

Bika should try and land the winner of the JT v. Froch fight or Andrade. Bhop wants nothing to do with Bika. Risk/Reward. Bika lost to Bute and Calzaghe, nothing to be ashamed of.

The transition from Manfredo to Hopkins eludes me big time.Nice guy Bika, brings in all to the forefront and is solid capable.I think Bika would be out of his depth and get stopped.Hopkins is looking for 1 or 2 huge mega clashes before he goes, and it aint Bika.

    Post of the year!
But to post more of my mind. I "do" mean to disrespect Bika. What the hell is he smoking? Maybe just post punch syndrome kicking in already. What sentence in that quote made any sense? How can he really make any argument to be the man who gets B Hop for probably his last fight? Hilarious. Very laughable. Did he beat up a Pavlik, Abraham, or clean out a division while no one was looking? You can't just build a C+ career, go to sleep, wake up and then feel AND call out a world class legend who is arguably number 1 p4p. Try maybe an Allan Green or John Duddy if you're having a good day. Green by TKO.

Maybe a good tune up fight for hopkins but not at this time in his career. Bika isnt on the radar, hes like a bird on the radar and hopkins is a stealth fighter jet

Hmmmm, well this settles it, if Sakio Bika can try and legitimately call out Hopkins, then so can I!

Bernard, no matter that you've never heard of me, nor that I've never had a pro fight, or that I'm a welterweight, you need to stop duckin me. In fact, when I go Vegas & to the Hatton-Pac weigh in, I'll let you know you're duckin me

Seriously what is up with Bika, the bit about 'I gave Joe more trouble' cracked me up... Hopkins dropped him!! In a lot of people's eyes he won the fight! Seriously Sakio must be smokin crack to keep his mind off his wife
