I said before that I will not vote in this, I like to think Barrera would have caught him, but Khan was taking advantage of the situation offered him.

Who knows, Saddoboxer?? I just like to think of the fight as void and leave it at that.

    Ali vs Norton.

    Your point is?
    You're saying this is acceptable?
It's not acceptable to me but fact that it happened then there's possibility it can happen again in another fight in the future... Who knows what these "sane" doctors are thinking...

Well I'm just trying to stir your wild imagination... Were you at any moment in that fight thinking that Barrera has a chance to land that big one?? Specially that moment when MAB wobbled Amir...

the fact that he did wobble him makes it even more frustrating - are you reading the other threads?

hehe I'm imagining you're having mixed emotions watching that fight... Jumping up and down, screaming when Barrera wobbled Khan at one point... and biting your nails, sulking when Khan landing flurries on bloodied Barrera pinned on the ropes...

Like Barrera said after the fight, it should have been stopped when the cut happened as it was clear he wouldn't complete the fight. The fact that it was Barrera a tough old proven legend probably worked against him in the end as the ref and ringside doctor probably gave him more leniency than they would for an ordinary fighter.

You leave my wild imagination out of this!

There was always that chance. Barrera seemed to wobble Khan with shots that for me were not fully set. Being on the back foot and unable to see made it difficult to lauch effective, meaningful attacks though.

Barrera would throw and immediately be blinking away or having to reset by wiping away the blood.

I do think Khan would have slowed down and that would have provided more opportunities for Barrera. But it's a crazy notion to think of that fight going into the 9th or the 12th round. It's mentalism of the highest order.

As someone said earlier, he would have bled to death! Well, probably not...but you see what I mean?

Actually, I kind of watched the fight in a daze after that clash of heads. My heart sank, it was obviously a nightmare scenario. Couldn't be any worse. Of course I willed Marco on and there were glimpses of hope. But no, it wasn't fun to watch.

As fans, I know how it feels to watch our bloodied boy got pummeled... But be ready with the same gory scene come May 2nd... Not that I'm wishing for it but that's part of boxing...

For the meantime, I'll be out for a few hours...

his fate was sealed in the 1st round & + repping me doesn't alter the fact that I think your posting is a wind up.

Like I said earlier on a different thread. I wouldn't wish that scenario on any fighter. I would certainly not like Hatton: Pac to be tarnished like this was. Anyway, I don't really want to talk about Pac: Hatton until closer to fight time.

Try your best guess and vote in the poll...
He'd have lost,he was operating with one eye.Im officially retired and I could beat a one eyed guy suffering from massive blood loss.Matter of fact if you could find me a one eyed guy suffering from massive blood loss,I may reconsider this retirement thing
