At 27 running a club had some great turns on. Manning Dooleys, Ken Dodd 10CC, Dave Berry and the like, really enjoyed. Then found myself back in London, Training Fighters and Running Doors at Clubs, Made Freinds with Paddy Callahan who did security for Harvey Goldsmith. Plus ran the door at Dingwalls which was the 1st venue for most American Bands to show there stuff. The Nicest person I ever looked after was Bob Dylan a close 2nd was Charlie Watts, but His Aunt was murder

Cool as Scrap. Bob Dylan and Charlie watts seem like nice fellows, yeah.
Saw Dylan in Melbourne once and when he sang hard rain ,it poured down, it was almost God like, the timing.

Ive heard George Harrison was one of the nicest people to deal with too an old mate used to deliver papers to him in Henley.

Did you run into Mick Green and the Pirates at all back then?

Oh, so who was the worse bastrds you had to deal with?

Some funny incidents Andre, one when Blondie did there Gig, the crowd was near the stage and it was packed. Punks then if they liked you they spat Debbie was coverd in it, so I sent Big Eric down to stand in front of the stage. This silly cunt Spat at Eric so Eric sparked Him then all Hell broke lose Bodys everywhere, Debbie Harry just kept on Singing. What a trooper

So this night Eric Clapton and Muddy Waters were doing the Gigg, Sunday night and what a Gigg. This Guy comes early and says in this remarkable voice, I believe Eric has left me a Ticket. Well the guest List hadnt come through, but there was something about the guy I liked so I invited Him in, the stage hadnt been set it was early. Now I reconised Him from somewhere but couldnt put my finger on it. Anyway it was early and He bought the Door a Drink, then another and another By the time Eric turned up we were all pissed. Eric said when He arrived Has my mate turned up yet Albert Finney, fuck thats who He is the last time Id seen Him was Saturday night Sunday Morning with a Lancashire accent. Let me tell you one great Fella Likes a Drink .
