Yes guys, it will make the victory sweeter.
You're basically asking me if I am Japanese TOO. Yes, are you?
I am Mexican but went to university at Osaka, Japan, where I finished my studies.
"Nihonjin nano? Nanka, nihon no hatta mitekara, nihonjin kanaaaa to omoutta. Sa, Rikiiii gambareeee! Ikee! Ikeee! Mageru sou dakedo na! heheheheh!"
Translation:
Are you Japanese? Well, saw your flag so...Well, Go Ricky! Go! Gooo! Seems like a loss but...
Bilbo,
When you said that there was someone in England who didn't see Ricky winning, I somehow thought it would be Frank Warren too hahaha!

all i want to say is that im so hyped for this fight its unreal. i can see that look back in hattons face just like before he beat tyszu. i dont think mannys gonna no whats hit him come saturday night.in my heart of hearts i truly believe hatton will stop manny. COME ON HATTON
I said yesterday that Hatton should refrain from reading magazines, newspapers and surfing the net (specially Saddo's "Do you think PAC will inflict...")...
PAC's the heavy favorite in this fight so most boxing articles will be pro-PAC and predictions will mostly point to a Pacquiao victory...
.
Pro American bias, that is all.
This site is firmly in favour of a Hatton win overall. The US writers have been wrong numerous times before and they will be again.
You yourself are as biased as one could possibly be and have an obvious agenda with your Hatton has 1% chance of winning nonsense.
I truly hope you will be made to swallow your words tomorrow.![]()
Ricky Hatton v Manny Pacquiao: What they say, who wins, and why...
Ricky Hatton v Manny Pacquiao: What they say, who wins, and why... - Telegraph
Past and present boxers and those in the know predict outcome of Ricky Hatton's super-fight against Manny Pacquiao.
JOSE SULAIMAN - WBC President:
Hatton's style may give Pacquiao problems, but Pacquiao is the better boxer and should win. Hatton 0, Pacquiao 1
DAVID HAYE - Heavyweight title contender & former cruiserweight world champion:
Hatton has taken his career to new heights with his new trainer Floyd Mayweather Sr and a more professional, healthy approach to living between fights. Hatton wins a very close, hard-fought decision. He may have to get off the floor but he will find a way to win. Hatton 1, Pacquiao 1
OSCAR DE LA HOYA - Former six-weight world champion:
Ricky has the X-factor in his style to beat Manny; he also has Floyd Mayweather in his corner and he is such a great trainer he will make Ricky feel like he is King Kong going in there. Hatton 2, Pacquiao 1
JOE CALZAGHE - Former super-middle & light-heavyweight world champion:
It's going to be a tough fight for Ricky but he's got a better chance of beating Manny than he did against Floyd Mayweather Jr [who beat Hatton in 2007]. If he can close the range and cut him down he has a great chance of winning. But he has to take his chance.
KEN BUCHANAN - Former lightweight world champion:
Ricky is set in the way he boxes. He goes forward, he's a pressure fighter and against Pacquiao he'll do what he's always done. Pacquiao, who's a tremendously talented fighter, will be too fast for him. Hatton 2, Pacquiao 2
BERNARD HOPKINS - Former middleweight and light-heavyweight world champion:
If Hatton moves his head from side to side as he comes in, it will give him the armoury to win this fight, because he has a rough tough style to defeat Pacquiao. But the winner will be he who executes the game plan best. Hatton has a great chance.
SIR HENRY COOPER - British heavyweight legend:
Hatton should win because he's bigger and heavier - and he's no slouch himself. Pacquiao is moving up the weight divisions. The first three rounds might be a bit flashy and fast for Hatton, but he'll wear Pacquiao down, and win in the latter rounds. Hatton 3, Pacquiao 2
RICHIE WOODHALL - Former super-middleweight world champion:
I think Pacquiao will cause Hatton all sorts of problems but he hasn't got Floyd Mayweather's speed or skills and Hatton's still the best light-welterweight in the world. Pacquiao's style should suit Hatton down to the ground. It will be Hatton's hardest fight ever but he'll have too much. Hatton 4, Pacquiao 2
CARL FROCH - WBC super-middleweight champion:
Ricky has got a very difficult job ahead of him. He's the underdog but I think he is going to pull it off. Size and power are his allies. If the referee lets him fight his fight rough, dirty, he'll beat Pacquiao. Hatton 5, Pacquiao 2
JAMES DEGALE - Olympic middleweight champion:
It's a fantastic fight. It's 50-50. It depends on who sticks to their game plan. If Pacquiao boxes Hatton he will win on a points decision. But if Hatton can draw Pacquaio into a fight, he is the bigger, stronger man, and will win on that count.
BARRY MCGUIGAN - Former featherweight world champion:
It's a pick 'em fight, with Pacquiao's speed and combinations against Hatton's strength and power. Hatton will have to use his relentlessness. Hatton on points. Hatton 6, Pacquiao 2
FRANK WARREN - Hatton's former promoter:
I don't like Hatton's chances. Boxing at light-welterweight will suit Hatton but it will favour Pacquiao more. Pacquiao will be that bit quicker than he was against Oscar de la Hoya at welterweight - and even stronger. Hatton 6, Pacquiao 3
Hatton Will be bigger and stronger come rehydration, I'm going to guess 150' ish... Hatton will move his head and work behind the jab.. If JMM was able to cut up Pac and lump him up at 130-135 Hatton will decapitate him.
Both have tremendous stamina, so whatever the outcome its a win win for the fans... I'm torn because Floyd is unretired and should be an overwhelming favorite against JMM.. I would like to see Floyd pick off the #2 then#1 boxer in the world to regain his spot and undoubtedly seal his legacy and stfu his detractors.... Then again I think it would be fun to see hatton on Pac's like a wolverine beating his ass and bullying him till Roach pulls him out of the fight about rounds 9-10...
That's the same thing he said before the PBF fight.
Graham seems like a really down to Earth cool guy and Ricky seemed to scapegoat him after that loss...I wonder if Floyd Mayweather Sr. will get the same treatment?
I think everyone is picking Manny because he's faster, he's got good power that seems to carry to this weight class, and he's better at throwing punches in bunches. The problems for Manny is that we don't know how he'll handle the pressure of Ricky, the power, the ugly fighting style of Hatton, or whether or not Manny will fade in the later rounds if it goes that far....the good news is Ricky also fades late so I think that issue is a push.
I have Manny Pacquiao winning late on a stoppage, Ricky will get tagged early and often when he's trying to land bigger punches, and Pac will start moving more and as Ricky tries to focus on the body he will stop moving his head and he'll eventually get torn up enough for the Ref/Doctor or Floyd Sr. to step in and stop the fight. And if Floyd Sr. stops the fight, there may be some BIG fireworks between Sr. and Hatton
...I AM SAD FOR RICKY HATTON
Here comes the underdog, the guy nobody gave a breathe of hope, the guy people already saw loosing, etc...and yes, that's what happened.
*deep sigh*...I really don't know what to say.
Remember the video I posted with Roach and Moorer training Pac for Hatton's leaping attack? I WAS RIGHT! You can see how Pac has his eyes wide opened on the last KO waiting for Hatton to leap for the attack and when Hatton leaped KABOOM! There goes Pac's straight left and down goes Hatton.
Sure, I don't give Pac credit for JMM and ODLH, but for yesterday's fight, I take my hat off. Pac did his homework studying Hatton's leaping attacks.
Bring on Mayweather but meanwhile.........pass me the tissue. I feel like crap.
