    Here's my theory.....

Ticket sales sucked. Mayweather is co-promoting it, and thus wouldn't get as much money as he needs, and wants. Thus, gets injured, postpones the fight, and they reschedule it for the weekend of Mexican Indepedence Day in September. A weekend with a history of a big turn out for big fights. Right now, there is no big fight scheduled for that weekend, so move it to a date where they hopefully will get better sales. This is a guess of course, but we'll see.

OMG, He's postponed the fight because he's ducking Pacquiao! (Joke!)

Two days after the tickets for Mayweather vs Marquez were up for sale,
an insider source posted this in Pacland...."The fight will either be postponed or cancelled due to poor ticket sales, the usual main sponsors are shying away, and even MGM Grand which normally purchases tickets in advance for their hotel guests hasn't purchased a single ticket.....The post then continues...."Expect within a couple of days for an announcement from GBP that the fight will be postponed and the reason or excuse that will be given is that one of the fighters is injured....So here we are!

Its the poor ticket sell and not Floyd's lame excuse why the fight is being posponed. Rumor is GBP will push the event on the Mexican independence day.

    Just kidding JT.

Here's the real score Ms. Diane...

"The awesome show of respect given by 17,000 Puerto Ricans to Pinoy Idol Manny Pacquiao just before the Clottey-Cotto WBO welterweight title bout started at the Garden so shocked Mayweather, watching at home in Vegas, that he fell off his couch and landed on his ribs..."

    joke joke ...

Even if they push the fight to September weekend of the Mexican Independence Day, that PBF-JMM fight will still not sell well... Mexicans loves to watch a boxing war NOT a boring tune-up fight between two master counterpunchers...

I agree totally. His track record inside the ring is impeccable, fighting a lightweight....

problem is Cotto and Pacquiao are both from top rank....Arum would rather that they dance together and leave floyd in the cold...

Wow some of you are so full of conspiracy bullshit, that it makes me sick. Can't fighters get injured in training? Have you ever trained hard for a fight? If so you would know that most fighters go into fights injured, and that there is a likely of the eventuality of a guy actually getting hurt bad enough not to fight.

You can't blamed me coz I presented here my conspiracy theory weeks in advance saying either PBF or JMM will claim to be injured so that their fight will be postponed coz in reality it's selling very slow...

If the Mayweather vs Marquez fight will be reset on September then there will be be no PBF vs. PacMan. PacMan-Cotto are already in the works per Bob Arum during Cotto-Clottey Post fight conference.

    Cotto-Clottey press conference - part 1

There is no love lost between Bob Arum and Floyd Mayweather.
