I think some will underestimate the size here. For a change a fighter will be coming up to Forbes recent range. He was undersized in with Ocsar and clearly brought in as a opponet for GBP & the rising Berto but still managed to exploit some flaws in Andre and do a number on Oscars face.He has never dogged it in anyfight and he'll have all the benefits with hand speed and mobility side to side. And the point about Hattons mind set after Pacquiao loss is well taken.A guy can go either way and quickly after that sort of KO.

It is an easy fight for Hatton and he will beat him. Forbes is not a big enough puncher to harm Hatton which should be his last fight.

The choice of opponent really dissapoints me, seriously. What has it come to. Thought it was poor when DLH signed to fight forbes. Rubbish.

He might not be a big puncher but if he lands alot he will mark Hattons face up.

Forbes will be a tough test,it will show us what Ricky has left and it will test him mentaly in this fight .If he isnt right going into the ring he will lose this fight.

What did you expect ? He is coming back from a horrible ko,no way was he going to go in with a big puncher.

Forbes is more dangerous than I thought Hatton would fight...Ricky could very well lose this fight

I totally don't expect a big puncher, just something will a tad more excitement. Forbes, Steve Forbes, please. I'm not a genius matchmaker by any means but i certainly wouldn't buy into that one. Can't help but think that DLH has a play in this one.

Did people b1tch this much when that Lazcano fight was announced? Because Forbes is a step above him IMO.

Forbes is much better than some are giving him credit for, he should have probably 3 less L's on his record, as he did enough to beat Brewer, Hopkins & Gonzalez, & you could make arguments for other fights, he certainly gets scored unfavourably against more than any other fighter I can think of apart from possibly Emmanuel Augustus. You also have to remember he's fought well-above his natural weight, he's probably grown into a 140lber now, yet he still gave ODLH & Berto trouble when they came into the ring weighing probably 10-15lbs more than him

Oscars probally still wearing that Hatton mask from the Manny fight lol.He definatly has a major hand in this one and they have brought in Forbes as a relief pitcher.....or catcher for the last few fights now.I thought he got the Oscar match to amend the "loss" that D. Hopkins was wrongfully awarded over Forbes but he does not go into a fight to just make a guy look good. They often dont.

this reminds me alot of Juan Diaz fighting a light hitter Malignaggi. Good move a safe move IMO.

Not only do I think Ricky could lose this fight; I think he will. That man is damaged goods now; and I don't care if Forbes isn't a Pac, he's better than a Lazcano and is fast, crafty and durable.

I don't see Ricky getting knocked out; just taking more punches than he probably should at this point. Is there no one he feels confident enough at 140 with that he needs to go to 147 to fight? Is Ricky taking a light puncher like Forbes on at 147 becaue he thinks the extra weight will help him absorb more? I thought Ricky would want to at least go out at 140 where he was "king" for so long.

After that mauling he took, Ricky is probably wearing one of those masks just to be recognized

Type of fight I expected. It'll be competitive either way so I certainly don't see it as a cynical chioce, just a realistic one. Idealy Witter to beat Alexander and set up the only remotely winnable fight for Ricky (I'd have Junior favbourite) that actually has some meaning to it.
